This was the 4th time using American Movers and I wouldn't use anyone else! They are timely, courteous, cautious, efficient, friendly and very reasonably priced. We had a lot of heavy furniture as well as breakable items and it ALL arrived in PERFECT shape. We especially enjoyed the crew they sent - Ty, Damon and Gene! I really regret using this company. They damaged valuable antiques and completely lost an irreplaceable art piece. There is damage to an antique chest valued at $30,000.00 and the owner yelled at me for pointing it out. I would only recommend them for low value items and easily replaceable furniture. I was told that the insurance they have will only cover items reported within 3 days of the move then sent a belated “bill” after paying them very high prices for their “service.” You can’t replace what they lost, the Judy Graese woodcut was one of a kind. How could anyone pay me for that? So I suppose it doesn’t matter. I’ve included a picture of an art piece made by the same artist, the pottery I found with a big chunk broken off of the back, some china, and Halloween decorations they left in a broken pile. They didn’t cover anything.
After 25 years in the same house we decided to make a major move. American Movers were very professional from beginning to end of the move. John did a video chat and review of our house to access our needs and concerns. He sent us bid in a timely manner and answered our questions. The 4 young men who came to move us were courteous , careful, professional and very accommodating in both homes. We highly recommend American Movers.
