We had an excellent experience with this company. Our initial contact, Pam, was thorough and attentive through the whole process. Compared to some of the other quotes we received, they were quite reasonable (we moved from Ontario to Winnipeg). The process they use when producing a quote remotely is the most efficient we dealt with - going room by room, we produced short videos that highlighted what we were moving. From this, they were able to produce a fairly accurate quote.On moving day, Caleb, Keith, Gary and Bill (I hope I have this right) showed up to haul the items out of our house. They were incredibly professional, and had our house emptied in four short hours. They made sure that all big ticket items (e.g. our TVs) were safely packaged.Due to a time delay with our possession date in Winnipeg, they stored our items for us, which was a huge relief. On our move-in day, Ken, Adrian, Paul and Tom quickly offloaded the truck. Again, a great group of guys to deal with and super efficient in making sure we received everything. As we unpacked, we had no issues with the condition of our possessions.Overall, we would recommend this company and would use them again if we are crazy enough to do a long haul move again.
First time using a moving company, best money spent! Globe came recommended by a friend who recently used them and they did not disappoint. We had precious cargo arrive today with the help of Tim & Thomas and a great experience with Globe Moving. The scheduler on the phone was polite and excited to schedule in our piano delivery. Tim & Thomas were professional and efficient and very careful to not damage the shipment while moving it into place. Thanks so much! We are pleased with your service!
The move with Globe moving and storage was something else. The front office was great and easy to deal with (before the move). The crew that they sent out to move my furniture (no appliances) needed something to be desired. My wife spent 2 weeks packing and organizing boxes and labeled every box as to which room the boxes were to be moved to. I dismantled all furniture. All our work organizing to make it as easy as possible for the guys (knowing it’s a very labour intensive job) went out the window. My house is no mansion by any means, so I was surprised when just loading took 6 hours. You would think that there would be no damage by the time frame it took to load. They even got part of my sectional stuck in the doorway. (I had to remove a leg to help them get unstuck). After 4 hours and still not close to finishing loading, I started to load my own truck with stuff from the garage (which was included in the estimate). Afterwards I started to see all the damage caused by the team of movers. The wall in my old house was damaged along with two walls in my new house. Then there’s the furniture damage. I’ll list dresser, footboard. Dinning room hutch, centre leaf for dining table and scratches on the dining room chairs. To add some of these things were brand new. It took a whole month to come to an agreeable settlement, which I was told is the best they can do because the damages I was looking to be compensated for more than the profit they made on the move. I would not waste my time and money on this company again. If you use them ask what experience the crew they send out. I told Globe moving and storage that I thought I paid for professional but got amateurs.I told you Carmine this was a promise not a threat.
