Really great experience with the crew at Liberty Movers - super impressed with how careful they were (not a single thing got dinged up or broken), and how insanely efficient at moving items/ loading the truck. They were even able to deal with a tricky couch removal with no issues. Absolute pros! Would hire them again in a second!
"Whenever we have something reported Stolen to us we immediately get the police involved" writes Steve Fontaine, head of Liberty Movers in an email to me. Run don't walk from this company. Steve did admit an employee stole a valuable antique rug during my move, and the Crew Chief had been in touch with the crew member who took it, but the company then refused to make any gesture of restitution to me perhaps because the rug was supposed to be donated to Restore. The company knew the rug had been taken and by whom, and then forced a police investigation. "Maybe the person who took it didn't think it mattered", Steve said. I had used Liberty years ago. They are no longer honest or trustworthy. Perhaps all moving companies have thieves in their employ, but reputable companies would take responsibility for working with a customer. Liberty knew exactly who took this item and when, then refused any responsibility. I worked for six months to settle this amicably and avoid this review. Do Not Trust this company with ANYTHING you value.Katie Keene
Alex and his team of movers were great. Accommodating, good personality, etc. No complaints there. My issue is several items were left behind, including a gas grill that is hard to move. The grill was addressed during the initial meeting with the gentleman who gave us a quote (also very nice) and was also discussed with the crew lead the day of the move. There was no question as to whether or not it needed to move, it did. When we went back to the house after the move was done, we found that it was left behind, along with several other larger items and some of Liberty's own moving equipment. Annoying, but mistakes happen and we gave them the benefit of the doubt that when we called back they would send someone out to take care of it. When we called we were told we would be charged for them to come back, and that someone should have been at the house for a final walk through. This as the first time we were told that. We even asked the crew lead before we left if they had any questions or needed anything from us. The answer was no, so we left for the new house to get stuff done there.Again, mistakes happen and that's fine. But how a small business reacts to those mistakes to make them right is what matters, in my opinion. They are sending someone back to get their equipment that was left behind at no charge, but they wouldn't send anyone to move the other larger items that they missed. By the way, the two homes are 8 minutes apart. It's not a big ask.I grew up in a family owned small business. I hate to give a negative review to one, but hopefully this helps someone else when they are under the stress of moving and trying to find a stand-up company to help them.
I will recommend this company to everyone. I had Rob, Paul, and Sammy as my crew. They were MACHINES. They treated my stuff like it was their own. Everything was wrapped in protective blankets and stacked perfectly. They asked so many good questions to make sure everything was done the way we wanted. They were so friendly and enjoyable to be around. We were so impressed by this company and crew and would 100% use them again. 10/10 highly recommend.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars - The Liberty team was absolutely amazing. It was extremely easy to book, the team moving us was incredible and very thorough and the price was very fair for all the work they did. They worked in 90 degree weather with not one complaint and all had positive attitudes and were joking with us all day long. It was a blast moving, who can say that?! I will be recommending them to everyone I can.
