This is a review of International Van Lines service moving from North Carolina to New Zealand. The team in North Carolina appeared professional and got to work quickly. I knew there was a waste paper basket of trash in one bedroom and went to remove it but couldn't reach it. I said to the packer working there "At the risk of stating the obvious that trash basket is not going." He took offense and said "yes we know what trash looks like". I went to remove an open full black plastic trash bag from the 3rd floor but couldn't get up without getting in the movers way. Both the litter basket from the bedroom and the full trash bag arrived in New Zealand. The black trash bag took up an entire medium sized box and was labelled 'black box'. Definitely a malicious act and dangerous as there may have been biohazards in that trash bag! Luckily there wasn't as there are massive fines for bringing undeclared food into New Zealand. I also pointed out extra planks of hardwood flooring stored under a bed were not going and again these turned up in New Zealand. I also requested that only 10 extra coathangers per bedroom be packed but I would estimate about 300 extra coathangers arrived taking up at least another medium sized box. We had to leave behind items we wanted to take as we reached the limit of our container but could have easily fitted in without the trash, coathangers and hardwood planks. I would not recommend this company for an International move.
International Van Lines really made my temporary move from Los Angeles to Yuma fun and easy! I was tasked with bringing my grandmother's collection of antiques to my aunt there, and these movers treated her things like they were headed for the Louvre! Everything wrapped carefully, boxes label clearly, and great care taken in the actual move. I'd recommend them to anyone!
