A few years ago, Héctor painted my mother’s house and did an outstanding job. So, when I had to rebuild my own home after a devastating fire, Héctor and his team from Lurrsen Professional Painting were the first painters I contacted when obtaining bids. This was not just a standard repaint, but a full interior rebuild involving new drywall, texture, trim, electrical, HVAC, and numerous overlapping trades. The coordination required was far more than a typical paint job, and Héctor managed it all exceptionally well.

At the bid meeting, Héctor clearly explained timing and sequencing, detailing how his work would fit with drywall and finish carpentry. He coordinated directly with my general contractor to schedule primer, first coats, and final coats. His deep knowledge of curing times, moisture conditions, finish options, and ceiling colors made me feel confident throughout the final stages of construction.

Héctor’s attention to detail really stood out. Nothing escaped his notice—he thoroughly inspected his team’s work, caught imperfections I missed, and never rushed. He collaborated with my wife and I and gave helpful feedback regarding our paint color choices (which we selected with help from a Sherwin-Williams consultant) and offered insightful, non-pushy feedback. His input helped us make choices we’re still happy with today.

I really appreciated Héctor and his team's communication throughout the whole job. He always responded quickly, kept me updated on next steps, and was honest about scheduling. His crew was reliable, showing up exactly when promised. I asked him endless questions—about finishes, warranties, primers, sequencing—and he answered every one, helping me plan around the other trades.

The fire restoration added frequent scheduling challenges, with electricians, drywallers, finish carpenters, and HVAC workers coming and going. Héctor adapted easily to shifting timelines, worked around everyone else, and communicated proactively, ensuring no detail was missed and that his efforts were tightly coordinated with all of the other trades on-site.

I will note that Héctor made several beneficial suggestions not planned initially, such as painting the garage interior, which proved to be a great decision. His crew gave daily updates, worked diligently, and were always professional. They cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, which I especially appreciated.

Héctor and his team were top-notch—skilled, courteous, and proud of their craft. The results far surpassed our expectations: every surface looks fantastic. When moving in caused minor nicks, Héctor quickly offered to return for touch-ups. Even our general contractor was so impressed with their work that he requested Héctor’s contact information.

Since Héctor has been in the painting business for quite a long time, it was no surprise to me that he was not the lowest bidder, but the value, craftsmanship, and peace of mind he delivered made the investment absolutely worthwhile.

Hector and his crew were awesome! They did an amazing job painting our home , removing textured walls, and refinishing the original 1930s windows — everything looks beautiful. They finished the whole project in just 10 days, so we got to move in a week early! Super professional, great attention to detail, and just fun to work with. I highly recommend Lurssen Professional Painting. Hector and his crew painted the exterior of my 2 story, 100+years old, cedar shingled house in 3 colors. The job was difficult, required great knowledge and skill. Their prep work was thorough, their painting and repairing skills masterful. Ernesto, a crew member, had the professional expertise to repair/replace/paint fascia beams on the second roof level that had rotted. Each crew member had individual as well as common skill sets. The crew arrived early every morning and often worked 10-12 hour days. Very pleasant, always responsive, took great pride in their work. The house looks fabulous and is now very protected from the elements for many years. Hector is an excellent, hands-on owner- after careful review, he provided the original bid, answered any questions/concerns, was always available and came to the job site everyday to make sure the job was progressing as planned. The clean-up was very thorough.

Hector and his team were a true pleasure to work with and did an outstanding job repainting the entire interior of our house. The job involved a lot of difficult and detailed trim work, smoothing of uneven walls, repairing damaged drywall, caulking wonky baseboards, and patching up tiny cracks in eight distinct colors, but Hector’s team handled it all expertly, professionally, and with a smile. The team went the extra mile to help us pick paint, protect the house, make everything look perfect, and make sure we were happy. They did an equally wonderful and detailed job pressure washing the house, driveway, and retaining wall in our yard. I was so happy with the excellent quality of the work and stellar attention to detail that I hired Hector and his team a few months later to sand and paint some intricately carved furniture and set up a hanging chair—they once again far exceeded my expectations. Lurssen exceeded all my expectations. Hector is very friendly and personal, but at the same time a knowledgeable professional, a hands-on owner. His crew showed up every morning at 8:00 ready to go to work. When the project was finished other than the fact That my house looked like a million bucks. You wouldn’t even know they were here. They left the place spotless. His two guys Edgar and Edwin are true craftsmen, and went the extra mile to make sure that I was completely satisfied.
