We hired Shearer Painting to paint all ceilings and walls, refinish trim after a flooring redo, and paint all our kitchen cabinets. It was a BIG project that we worked with John and his staff to plan out well in advance. John provided excellent council on process, colors and paint choice. Everything turned out beautifully and the quality of pain (Fine Paints of Europe) is amazing. The amount of work his crew did to prep was astounding and goes to show what you pay for with a professional painting project.

The project started on time and his crew were professional and paid excellent attention to detail. The job wasn't finished once everything was perfect and it was worth the investment we made to have the job done right. We will absolutely use them again for future projects and can't recommend John and his team enough!

My townhome community contracted Shearer to re-stain the wood on our units and community fencing due to their high ratings. They performed the work as contracted and were timely, however their quality showed a lack of pride in their work as the finished product had inconsistent finishes that appeared to be from rushed cleaning/preparation for the staining. This was disappointing after seeing their good reviews.

The first day of cleaning, they did a good job getting all the old mildew off our fencing, but left wood pulp everywhere on our walls and my car. After the first day, it seems their crews rushed the cleaning process and left mildew on the fencing before staining and ended up just staining over the mildew. They appeared to have not cleaned the top 5'-10' of each unit before staining as well.

Our community expressed our dissatisfaction and to Shearer's credit, they sent a rep to meet me on site to discuss the issues listed above. After the site visit however, Shearer insisted the uneven finishes were 100% due to UV damage and dodged any effort to help remedy or even acknowledge our issues. One would think a professional company would at least be up front about any pre-existing conditions that would effect the finish product.

The areas that Shearer did spend the time to properly clean/prepare turned out very good looking, so it was disappointing to see their workmanship at the end of the project.

We hired Shearer Painting to restore seven large barns, the club house built in 2002, and several smaller buildings at the Aldarra Golf club last year. These are very old historic buildings formerly owned by the Boeing Family. This was a major Capitol project for the Club. We ultimately hired Shearer because of the their experience working and preserving historic properties in Seattle. Over six months the Shearer team repaired, prepped, and painted all of the buildings and finished on schedule as planned. John's team was very deliberate in everything they did from how they protected the grounds, to the type and amount of primer they used. John had a suggestion to alter the white color on the buildings; our Board of directors accepted his suggestions and the results are outstanding.
The entire staff was great to work with and very accommodating to answering any questions we had throughout the process.

Extremely Professional and the best quality painting service i have ever encountered in my years of Interior Design work.
I first engaged Shearer Painting Dec2015 to paint our complete 4,668 Sqft home in Mt Baker prior to us moving in.
Justin was extremely professional and thorough with precise explanation of how they were to do complete the job the process within my slim time line before moving in.

We have recently completed our formal dining room painting which need a lot of fill work on the 105 yr old millwork and ceiling .The final job was completed with flawless work with a finish of Fine Paints of Europe on the ceiling and finished on time as promised ,John Shearer's excellent team are extremely curtious ,clean & professional we cannot believe the transformation of the room.
We have worked with John closely with this current job as the house is old and extremely detailed millwork throughout we appreciated his feedback , his enthusiasm and professionalism visiting on site through the process was great.

We also had Shearer resprays the kitchen to freshen it up from its dated 90's blond timber style ,again what a transformation they are so smooth and look like new cabinets WOW.

In my mind there is no better quality painters in town that i trusted to complete this job and for the high standard needed to make our 100+ year old home fresher than when it was built!

We hired Shearer Painting to paint our kitchen cabinets and trim, 2 separate bathroom vanities, and extensive moulding in our adjoining family room. I originally found them online. I got several bids including bids for refacing and painting. Justin came out to give our bid. He did a great job of explaining the process from beginning to end so we'd know what to expect. The bid was competitive, less than the refacing and another painting bid but more than one. I liked that they sprayed everything. They took all the doors to their shop to be sprayed also. We had the work done over Thanksgiving while we were out of town and this crew (which included Carlos and Benito and several others) worked their tails off! When we got home the entire place was done and a week later they came back to install the doors and hardware. The guys came back one additional time to do some little minor touch ups and some of the pulls had been installed upside down which wasn't a big deal. The painting has transformed our entire house as we went from Maple to Creamy white. I felt like their attention to detail was great as there were 3 different paint colors chosen for different spaces. They walked through the project with me again the morning it started, sent pictures during, and then have touched base after. I would definitely recommend them.
