Thirty years ago he was the only contractor I could find who knew about lead-safe work practices for our daughter's day care center and our home. Having engaged Stahlschmidt Painting & Restoration several times over a period of 16 years, we wholeheartedly recommend this company. If you like attention to detail, this is your contractor. The staff are professional, and have many years of experience, and are meticulous about clean-up. Hans Stahlschmidt is also a talented color consultant. They did exterior painting of our house in Kensington, then various interior jobs over the years, including kitchen cupboards and trim for a traditional 1946 house. More recently, they remediated some of the mistakes made by the painting subcontractor for a major addition/renovation.
