Ronson Painting

Ronson Painting is completely unprofessional! Our builder provided drawings to them to provide a quote for the painting of our new forever home and they clearly didn't look at the drawings. They arrived the day that they were supposed to start and claimed that they didn't know about the high vaulted ceiling although the dimensions and vaulted ceiling were clearly shown on the drawings. He also claimed that he would lose his shirt on the project if he did it for the price that he quoted. There were no changes from the time that he quoted to the time that he was supposed to start. Be cautious! Ronson painting obviously doesn't stand by their quotes! We are now having to find a new painter and our forever home is now going to take longer and cost us more in rent because Ronson Painting was unprofessional, didn't read the drawings properly and waited until the last minute to cancel. This is extremely disappointing, unprofessional and unacceptable.

Follow-up after project completion: Ronson claimed that they would lose $10K on this project and yet the replacement painter that we got was 10% more ($2K for reference) and the quality was excellent! Based on the conversation with Ronson's Owner there was some kind of a previous issue with our builder the Ronson painting has not let go of and seems to still be holding a grudge. Instead of making life difficult on our builder they made life difficult on us by just pulling out of the project instead of having a conversation based on a misunderstanding by their estimator. The professional way of handling this would have been to identify actual additional costs rather than simply walking off the project due to a previous grudge. If you want professionalism then look elsewhere.

They were incredibly accommodating with our Team and ensured the work performed was as little of a disruption as possible for our business. Ronson Painting was able to accommodate an urgent request for help repairing a DIY painting attempt. I was surprised they were willing to take the business despite it being a small job and I thought I demanded a quick turnaround; they are very busy so don't do what I did and be sure to give them ample notice.
