The CertaPro team was great to work with. We had them paint the exterior of our house. Ryan, the sale representative, was responsive and help with paint color selection. The painting crew was very professional, efficient and left the property clean. Certapro gave us a good estimate and we’re great to work with.
We had some initial issues with the project. The CertaPro team initially assigned to our house showed up without any ladders, looked at our house and talked to us about the project and then said they were leaving to get ladders and would come back and start working. They never came back. We talked to our lead person Ryan and he was as confused as we were. Ryan jumped on it quick and got a new team to our house within two days (bad weather pushed it back a day). New team was great. Easy to work with and did a great job painting the house and cleaning up when they were finished. Happy with the final result.
I had CertaPro paint the front of our house. Things started out well and I felt good about the project going with a well known company. After the estimate was completed and colors were picked I paid our down payment. I was told that this was for the cost of ordering the paint etc. After that things began to go south. The scheduler kept telling me the crew would be out to pressure wash and prep the siding. This was delayed due to poor weather conditions which I totally understand. The problem was there was absolutely no communication from the scheduler. I repeatedly had to contact them to get any updates. They finally got the houses prepped. And the paint crew also did not show up when I was originally told they were. Again this was due to weather delays but there was no communication until I reached out to the sales guy. I was then told that the scheduler was no longer with the company. The painters showed up and from the street it looked great but from up close you could see it was a rush job. I sent pictures to the sale guy and requested that he come take a look at their work. He acknowledged that it was a poor job and would have them come back out and do touch ups. At the same time I asked if they could a few more spots to make sure all the white areas matched. (I paid more to have this done). The crew came back out and again missed areas, spilled paint in my yard and proceeded to take black rubber mulch from around one of my trees to cover it up. They left tape, cigarette butts and landscape rock all over. Overall I’d give CertaPro a B- and the third party contract painters a D. I’d have a hard time using CertaPro again if these are the types of crews they utilize to get the jobs done.Edit: I had to ask the sales rep where the extra paint was that my down payment paid for. The paint crew took all the leftover paint with them leaving me none for touch-ups. He did drop some off for me but I shouldn’t of had to ask for it.
This is apparently one of those cases where a high rating on Google isn't indicative of reality, and we're disappointed with the whole experience.The quoting and planning process was very smooth, giving us confidence that CertaPro had it together and would be a professional outfit. Ours was a larger interior painting job, so we knew going into this that it would be a disruption to our lives for a few days. But what happened was far worse.On the first day of the job, only when I contacted them around 10am did they remember to tell us that the crew wouldn't be showing up that day. On Day 2, the crew only was on site for 3 hours, not cleaning up as per the contract. Day 3 was far worse, with the crew leaving open paint trays in the middle of the floor, and not cleaning up anything. They also didn't show up until 3pm. Days 4 and 5 were just as bad, and the folks in the office rarely picked up the phone or returned a message.If it was just late crews and poor communication, but a good paint job, that would have been fine. But the crew left the job with poorly repaired holes, they painted some of our outlets (not the covers, the outlets!), wavy edges in room transitions, and didn't even remove some of the outlet covers in places (just painted around them...who does that?).We were so thankful for them to leave and wish to have nothing else to do with CertaPro.
From the initial bid to the final finishing touches everything was handled so professionally, and perfectly. I still can't believe how they mange to get every little detail on our house so perfect and so fast. The crew was especially careful with our landscaping, not a drop of paint out of place and kept us in the loop throughout the entire project. Just look at how perfect the trim is done against the main paint color. Every time we drive up to our house, we are so Happy. Nicely done CertaPro, nicely done.
