I’m two years delayed writing this but hiring Edgar/Soto painting to paint the exterior of our house has been one of the best decisions we’ve made. Our little cottage needed a major revamp and Soto took their time with making sure every part of it turned out perfect. Soto Painting did a fantastic job painting the interior of my house. They were always punctual, professional, and polite. From the start, Edgar provided great recommendations to guide me in the right direction for picking paint colors and sheen. Although I was originally thinking about just painting the walls and ceilings, Edgar recommended to paint the baseboards while there was no furniture in the house. Now that I’ve been in the house for a while, I appreciate that foresight and am happy knowing I won’t need to move furniture anytime soon to refresh the baseboards. Edgar even brought in one of the doors from the house to match the trim color for the baseboards perfectly. Edgar’s attention to detail is impeccable. All of the lines are clean and straight, which is especially noticeable at the dark feature walls. One of the bathrooms had an uneven, wavy texture on the walls and ceiling, and Edgar was able to make the transition from wall to ceiling appear straight. He took the extra time to patch all holes, scrape the walls of any imperfections, and re-seal the joints between the walls and ceiling prior to painting. The professional paint job Soto Painting provided completely transformed the interior of the house, and I am extremely happy with the outcome. Okay, before I start I know I posted a bunch of photos and wrote a book - but when someone is contracted to do a job and goes way, way beyond expectations - one must give praise where praise is due! (Especially nowadays where it seems many just don't care!) DIY is most definitely overrated. When you think, "I can do this, just take your time and be careful." You need to stop and take a really good look at what you are possibly getting yourself into. There is a place and a time for DIY, but this was not it! Fixing up an old house on a budget (cuz you can't afford a mess-up) calls for the professional experienced licensed contractor that has a fine reputation and excellent work ethic - and I can only recommend one such professional and that is Edgar Soto of Soto Painting in Carson City, NV. We were truly blessed to have had the best experience with Soto Paining. We are so grateful that he was recommended to us from another contractor as we had moved back to NV from UT. This man knows paint! What types, surface particulars, finish results, best practices, best materials and tools to use, and how to be in someone’s home and treat it like it was his own.
