We recently purchased a home in Stoneybrook Village, a lovely house, but one that had not been painted in many years and was a little dingy. After getting what seemed to us a very high bid from the largest prominent local painting and construction company, we interviewed the rep from Equilibrium, attracted by their record of awards and their obvious dedication to and knowledge of environmental concerns, particularly the use of no VOC products.
From the first our experience with them was a dramatic contrast to that with the company we had first interviewed. Very detailed description of products and methods, no upselling, flexibility about meeting our particular needs and concerns, and (especially) a willingness to fit us in to their own very busy work schedule so that we would not have to wait months to have the our place finished so we could fully move in. And a bid that was a Fraction of the one we had received from the large company.
We set the schedule for the job and then the Equilibrium rep was Very helpful with selecting paint colors and finishes.
We were concerned that the painting would begin two days after we had solid oak floors installed and finished, but Equilibrium assured us that they had experience with new flooring and would take all precautions.
In the event, they were just great! Took great care of the floors (no shoes), actually did More work than the original bid had included without extra charge, were finished in three full days, and came back a week after completion just to check that everything was as it should be. And the house looks fantastic.
It’s important to keep in mind that Equilibrium does not send in some crew of anonymous employees to do the actual work. The crew of three that painted our place included the owner, who was on site and involved for the whole operation.
We are more than delighted with both the process and the results and are looking forward eagerly to Spring, when Equilibrium will come back to paint the outside of our home.

Today's job was painting interior trim work: three double bedroom windows, two bathroom windows , and a large six section picture window . All done meticulously and with great care. Not a drop spilled anywhere and just a beautiful glossy finish. The big window trim was pretty rough after years of moisture seeping in...we had replaced the window glass and kept the old -fashioned 50s frame. As a result it left a lot of peeling and there had been mold and raw wood and several leftover holes from screws and attachments, etc. Jonathon got it looking like a new window by the time he was done!
Equilibrium Painting painted the exterior of our house several years ago and did such an excellent job. They've been back a couple times since for touch-ups and also after some work on our siding where they had to blend in the patches with the original paint. You couldn't even tell where the large cutout areas began and ended by the time they were done, they did such a great job.
I will always go to them first and only. Real professionals and so unstressful to work with, plus great pricing. They stay pretty busy all year long so book ahead if you're planning to use them!

AWESOME! I removed thick paneling off 4 walls - and this left a gray area on popcorn ceiling. GONE! Ceiling looks so bright, clean and well, amazing! They also painted the walls in my newly remodeled kitchen - and since the upper cabinets were removed - the wall was a mess. Not any more! Seriously walk around smiling at how wonderful the place looks (and feels). Crew was fabulous - professional, courteous and clean! Melanie had great suggestions for colors and it all came out perfect. Super happy I decided to spend a little more and go with the best. Well worth it!
