My wife and I had a new house built for us this past summer/fall. The cabinets throughout were produced by an Amish cabinet maker with many years of cabinet manufacturing experience. About 6 months after the cabinets were installed and we had moved in, we noticed that the center panels in some of the wider cabinet doors had shrunk and exposed about 1/8" of unstained wood along the door panel side and the door frame holding the door panel. Apparently the wood that was used to construct the center door panels was not fully dried and as it dried, it shrunk on the sides. The cabinet maker offered to replace any or all of the cabinets to make the issue right. But, when the appliances are already installed and the cabinets full of food and dishes, etc. it would have been a real chore to replace the cabinets. The painter who had painted our house knew Phil Cline and brought him to the house to look at the situation. He took a door off and worked with it to get the stain on the exposed wood areas to match the sealed stain on the rest of the door. My wife and I were traveling and Phil and his crew came in while we were gone and in 3 days covered all of the exposed wood with their tweaked stain & sealer. When we got home, we looked it over and we were entirely pleased at how nice they were able to cover the exposed wood and match the finish to the rest of the door. From my experience working with stains and sealed surfaces, Phil and his crew did some very fine work here and we would recommend them.
Phil and the Tama team were great to work with. They were very responsive and professional. They painted our interior doors matching our paint color as requested along with a quality job. They're thorough and detailed. I would definitely have them do additional work for us in the future.
