We used this company to paint our living room and they done an exceptional job. Since painting has been finished, I have hung up mirrors with adhesive that have fallen - my fault - but the paint has not chipped once.
I had Amethyst come out to paint my living room with vaulted ceilings and re-finish all of my kitchen cabinets. Was not an easy job in my opinion but Jerry and his team were very efficient and mindful of my belongings. 10/10 would recommend and use them again.
We thought we were getting a great deal when this company quoted us almost half of what CertaPro quoted us to paint the interior of our home. Now we realize that you get what you pay for. At first they seemed great--very responsive to texting, they were available quickly, and they even helped us figure out good paint colors. But when they actually started painting, things fell apart. They failed to see that the color we picked for the living room required a specific (dark grey) primer, so they didn't do that, and ended up having to paint 5 coats of our color in order to get it to look even remotely correct. Still, the job they did was so messy, sloppy, and uneven in places, we had multiple friends and other professionals commenting on how bad it looked. We ended up hiring a friend to redo their work, and our friend fixed it no problem--it just took a little patience and attention to detail. The job they did in the bathroom is atrocious. They missed entire areas where you can see the old paint color. They only did one coat, and it looks streaky and poorly done. And now it's flaking off the ceiling in places for some reason! Also, Amethyst painting removed our front door hardware, and never secured it back properly, so the lock and handle mechanisms were just falling out with no screws! They never put our outlet face plates back on. They completely broke some blinds off a window upstairs, and never even said anything about it (we'll have to replace it on our dime). Also, they left a bag of their tools and some drop cloths, and even though we texted several times, and they said they'd be back for them, they never came. We still have their junk in the basement. We didn't trust them to fix things properly, so we hired our friend to do it, but that cost us another $1500. We would have been better off going with CertaPro or some better company to begin with. At last, we were so disappointed with how things turned out, we emailed the company about it. Our email was completely ignored--they never responded. Please save yourself a lot of trouble and expense, and don't give this company your money.
I ran into these guys early last year before they were as big as they are now. They were always on time and alway available for questions which is rare these days. After starting the job I was amazed at the professionalism I was getting for the price I was paying compared everyone else. You will be happy you choose them and I plan on hiring them again this fall. Thanks again all of you at Amethyst Painting!!! A++++
I was looking for someone to paint a few large rooms and all the trim in my house, and paint the exterior. I called a couple reputable places and they either didn’t call me back or had exorbitant prices. I called Amethyst Painting and Design and Ashlee called me immediately and we set a time for an estimate. The whole team were consummate professionals during the entire process. They actually came in quite lower than expected, but the quality was top-notch. Will use again.
