Experiences appear mixed, with several clients satisfied after touch-ups and others dissatisfied with surface preparation.
Blow & go! No prep work prior to painting, drywall repairs never got sanded, painted over registers and door stops. Wood flooring damaged by their scaffolding. Overspray on cabinets, toilets and flooring. They stated if I had paid more I would have gotten a better job. This was never mentioned prior, I spent $9,600 on just the interior. Way over priced for the services provided.
I had just started to move into my new condo realizing the place indeed needed to be painted before I moved too much more in. I spoke to Local Painters within a few minutes of putting in a request and was able to get my quote and book the job for the very next day! The team that worked on my condo did a wonderful job - showed up on time each day, communicated with me each day, locked up for me as needed, and allowed time for me to “blue tape” any missed spots (only one which is impressive!!)! We will use them again for future jobs!
I held off from writing this review for quite some time. I had my house painted back in May. I had just bought the home and was moving from out of state. Initially I was really excited. The price was great and the gentleman who owns the company was kind and motivated. My mom had been checking on the house while it was being painted just to make sure everything was going well. First, the gentleman who I spoke to never showed up at my home to see it. He had a crew come but each time my mom came to check up there was either only one person painting or no one there. Needless to say the job went over the days we initially agreed to. When my sister walked through the home she noted several spots that had been oversprayed or dripped. And my mom recognized the same. Each time I tried to ask about over spray or anything like that I was told “that was already there”. They also destroyed my medicine cabinet mirrors, granted the owner replaced 2/3 that had been destroyed. All of this I chalked up to you get what you pay for, but what has really pushed me to write this is that I am still continually finding this that were not put back together correctly by the painters, dust that was painted over, more and more nails that were painted over, or even realizing outlets were completely painted over and are now stuck shut. The list of careless mistakes and oversights is insane. At this point I’ve done my best to correct what i can myself. I just want other people to beware that although you’re getting an insane deal be prepared for what comes with that.
Painters did a poor and incomplete job at my house. They did improper prep work, such as not removing light switch covers, or vent fan covers. Wood surfaces were not sanded, they were just painted right over the old paint. Numerous spots throughout the house were left completely unfinished, even after having them do touch up work. Not to mention the painters left all their equipment and trash in my garage on the day they were supposedly done, and told us they would be by to collect the equipment the next day. Which they did not. Instead, the call us at 6:30am two days later to tell me they were at my house to collect their equipment, mind you we had not moved in yet and weren’t currently living there. I told them I would be there within an hour so they could get their equipment. When I arrived to the house, my garage door was wide open and all their equipment was gone. Meanwhile there was a painter inside my house upstairs working on touch ups. When I asked how he got into my house, he told me the other painter went through our dog door and effectively broke into our home. I had disabled the garage codes after they last left so they couldn’t show up to our home unannounced. Turns out that didn’t matter. There are countless spot in the house that were still finding that were not painted properly, even after I allowed them to touch up twice. My granite counter tops had paint left on them, several light switch covers were painted on, and a ceiling fan on a vaulted ceiling has paint on it as well. Additionally they didn’t put back anything they took down such as curtain rods, window coverings, etc. I’ve voiced my dissatisfaction numerous times with the owner, and his only resolution was to offer me $100 for light switch covers and have the painters come back out a 3rd time. At this point I no longer want his painters in my home. Anyone willing to break into my home when I’m not there is unwelcome. This is an absolute safety concern and a complete violation of our privacy. The overall communication was incredibly poor. When someone spends $5800 on a painting project, we would expect it to be done properly. There is clearly a disconnection between the owner and the painters working for him, as he tells his customers one thing but then his painters do anything that was agreed upon. Do yourself a favor and don’t hire this company.-Edited 8/20 in response to the business reply: I will note that some of the pictures are before final walkthrough and numerous of them are after final walkthrough (iPhones timestamp photos). And for the record I did not thank them for doing an amazing job, or else I wouldn’t have posted this review. I have text message screenshots that will prove this. I still continue to find more unfinished spots every day. Also, don’t forget your painters broke into my home, so you can understand why I didn’t want your painters in my home anymore.
I recently had the pleasure of working with a local painting team, and I’m thrilled with the outcome! They were professional, detail-oriented, and the overall finish was excellent. The team worked efficiently, maintained clear communication, and the transformation of my space is truly impressive. There were a few minor skips in some areas, but they were quick to respond and resolved the issue right away. Overall, I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking high-quality painting and a smooth experience.Thank you to the team for a job well done!
