I contacted VanDerKolk Painting at random when I was looking for some help removing old paint from and then repainting my basement walls. Declan was quick to stop by to estimate the job and Aurelio did great work. They also helped repair some drywall and it looks good as new. I'd definitely recommend working with this company. They are courteous, responsive, and the price seemed right to me especially after seeing the fantastic results.
Randy & Aurelio were here for three days repainting rooms and touching up other areas. Very quality work! All of the blending/touch up work looks very seamless and they did minimal full wall painting unless needed. I felt very comfortable with them making decisions that were best for me and them too. Very neat and concise in their work areas. I’m a former painter and have high standards and they exceeded my expectations. I will use them again!
In 2019, we purchased and renovated a 110 year old Eastown house. Probably the most important parts of the renovation were whole interior and exterior paintings. We met with several companies to get bids and selected VanDerKolk and Kooi. While bid amounts were comparable, we felt that Blake, the project manager, understood what we were trying to accomplish with the house. He connected us with a plaster/ drywall professional (who was great) who squeezed us in to get the project started by resurfacing all the walls. And he made sure the painting projects kept on track. The interior paint job was challenging but the results were really outstanding. The attention to detail by Dave and Lydia was amazing. The entire interior space was really renewed and transformed. The exterior painting came next. Cam and Lydia did a great job prepping and painting. The results really exceeded our expectations for how good the house could look. We were highly satisfied with VanDerKolk and Kooi's work in bringing our house back to life.
