John's work is exceptional. His professionalism and attention to detail completely transformed my space. The pressure wash made my house brilliant, and the paint job looked smooth and cohesive. His work exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Coat O Color for anyone seeking top-quality painting work for interiors and exteriors.
After speaking with several painting companies we chose John at Coat O Color to clean and stain our deck and fence. During the quote his knowledge and experience was evident and we decided to go with him that day. He did an amazing job and we were very happy with the final results. The fence was 20 years old and looked terrible. He literally did a restoration job that turned out beautifully. Its like having a new fence. The deck took a lot of work as well and again amazing results. We would recommend highly recommend John and will call on him again with our painting needs. It was a pleasure meeting and working with such a great guy!
I used John to paint the outside window trim at my house. He went above and beyond and really took his time cleaning up the windows and caulking all of them before painting. It was a new construction build and the windows were not done the way they should’ve been done. After John got finished they look amazing. I have over 40+ windows and he spent time on all of them getting them up to the quality they should be. I would highly recommend John to do your next home painting project.
John was great and very professional. My walls were not in great shape due to over painting and poor dry wall assembly. John took the time to painstakingly fix the walls where there were imperfections and patch all the holes.John was very reasonably priced and worked within the time frame originally set.I would recommend Coat O Color to anyone looking to freshen up their home or business. I will continue to use him for projects around the house.
There’s a reason this painter has so many 5-star reviews! The HOA let us know we needed to freshen up our 5-year-old house. It looked fine to me—maybe just a little scuffing on the white trim--but we hated the sludgy brownish color of the siding, so we started collecting bids for repainting.John was too busy to add us to his schedule, but he was nice enough to text back several times about the job, and I asked him for advice about the other bids. As we talked, John was surprised that the house needed repainting so soon and asked for photos of the damaged paint. He said he could clean it with a chemical wash—more time-consuming than a pressure-wash, but loads cheaper than repainting. And if we didn’t mind waiting, he could fit it into his schedule when it was too rainy to do his other painting jobs.I was just expecting a clean house. I wasn’t expecting a completely different colored house! But that’s John gave us. It turns out that the house wasn’t sludgy mud brown, it’s a light avocado green. You can see this best on the photo that shows the green (cleaned) area on the right and the brown (dirty) area on the left.John scrubbed and took hours getting our house clean, and his attention to detail shows everywhere. There was an area on the porch by the flower bed that had gotten splashed with red clay. John had warned me that he wouldn’t be able to clean that. But he worked like a dog, and now it’s beautiful! And he even touched up the white trim for us.Because John was coming back the next day to finish up, I asked him to tackle a couple of interior paint problems too. My husband had patched two drywall holes but had had to leave to take care of his mother out of state (COVID) before he could finish. John finished up the patching work with a real artist’s eye for making those problems disappear and then did a meticulous paint job over them. I walk by them dozens of times a day, and it’s like they were never damaged. But the most wonderful thing about that interior work is that JOHN KNOWS HOW TO DO DRYWALL WITHOUT SANDING! Those of you who’ve ever had drywall compound dust in every little corner of your home know why I put that in all caps. There was no dust this time because John uses a damp sponge and magic (at least, as far as I could tell). In fact, all of John’s work at our house seemed a little magical, but that’s what happens when a highly skilled professional works very hard to make a job turn out right. In every way, John was a delight to work with. He’s an all-around great guy and an interesting person too. He communicated clearly and regularly, arrived when he said he would, accomplished what he said he would and more, and left behind a neat and orderly workspace. I didn’t realize until after he left, but he even took the time to fix my screen porch door! And his prices were so reasonable that I felt a little guilty when I saw how hard he worked to earn that money.
