Reviews

What customers say

Several customers praised the painting work and crew professionalism. Kevin Quinn praised Sarah’s clear communication and on-site corrections after an earlier installer had issues; another customer said Paris Painting sent Sam to address an initially unsatisfactory paint job. One customer reported that workers repeatedly needed reminders about lead-safe precautions, missed areas required return visits, and exterior paint began bubbling and peeling by 2024.

Sam Kautzky is an exceptional employee. He displays an excellent work ethic. He is extremely conscientious and corrected multiple issues from last week. He is very personable. We are so pleased with his work. Thank you for sending such a quality individual. He represents Paris Painting well. You should be proud to have him in your company. My recommendation is that you give the guy a raise and a bonus! He deserves it.

Paris Painting — Professional, Fair, and Truly Customer-Focused 2026 — Back at It Again (Which Says Everything) I’m currently working with Paris Painting again, and that alone speaks volumes. The scope has expanded significantly. Paris is repainting my entire basement (including ceilings) as well as my upstairs kitchen and bathroom. The carpentry team has already been onsite and delivered excellent craftsmanship with clear communication and a very professional presence. Scheduling and coordination have been handled responsibly and thoughtfully. At this point, I’ve updated my review to five stars because Paris Painting has earned it. When you trust a company enough to expand the scope of work, that says more than any single finished project ever could. ? 2025 — Original Project I originally hired Paris Painting to repair and repaint my basement bathroom after a ceiling heater installation required drywall removal. The project started strong: the color selection process was smooth, management was attentive, and the crew was professional. There were a few issues with the first installer, but what truly set Paris Painting apart was how management handled it. Sarah communicated clearly, followed through on every detail, and even came onsite personally to correct finishing details, including custom-tinted caulking that matched beautifully. Paris Painting also provided a partial refund and future credit, which demonstrated real accountability and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing. ? Final Thoughts Paris Painting delivers quality workmanship, excellent communication, and strong management oversight. More importantly, they stand behind their work and their clients. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them — and the fact that I continue to hire them for additional projects says it all.

I was not completely happy when my place was first painted. I was contacted by Paris Painting to make everything right. I was so impressed on how much they care and want to makes sure I was 100% satisfied. They sent me an amazing painter, Sam, he is very professional, Painting is his craft! Not to mention a very kind person. He found issues I did not even see. I was impressed. My satisfaction is now100%!!! My first review was not good, ignore that one?? I will definitely use them again with my next project ??

Paris Painting did such an amazing job all around on our house. They were very detailed from the beginning to end and gave use the best exterior paint job yet in our home. We are very happy and very blessed! I recommend them hands down.

We had the exterior of our house painted by Paris Painting in 2022, and our 3-year warranty with them just ended. If you need something painted ASAP, they will get the job done, but if you want it done well I'd recommend finding one of the other well-rated painting businesses in town (they often have waitlists in the 1-3 year length!). We had purchased a home that was overdue for painting, so we had to get it done in 2022, and they did an adequate job at the time. Like other reviews have mentioned, Paris isn't a very detail-oriented company. The workers who were sent out to prep our house didn't know it had lead paint, so had to be reminded to take precautions with laying dropcloths, wearing masks, etc. (This happened essentially every time we had someone out to work on the house over the three years we've worked with them.) People have repeatedly come into our yard without warning to look at the site, one time leaving our gate open so our dog escaped. During the main work, the project manager was rarely on site. Hardware was put back on our house upside down (house numbers and shutter hardware). Workers often didn't know which colors went where. Once the paint was "finished" we had to call them back once if not twice to have someone come out and catch places that were not fully painted. But by the time they were finished in 2022 the house looked good! In 2023 the house still looked okay, but by 2024 the paint had begun to bubble and peel, mostly because the prep had not been done sufficiently. We had Paris out to look at the house in 2024 and they did a little bit of touch-up, but only in the very specific places I pointed out, and even missing a few of those. The places I pointed out were supposed to be examples of the overall issues. In 2025, with our warranty running out, we had them back out to do the touchups. Again the first time workers came out, they only addressed a few of the specific places I had highlighted, even though the majority of every exterior wall was peeling and needed work. Eventually I took 20+ photos of the most egregious issues and those were addressed. I can't remember how many times we've had someone out this season. We weren't fully satisfied by the final visit, but decided we'd had enough of dealing with them. I'm sure we'll continue finding issues-- we recently discovered that workers caulked our garage attic access door shut (?!) without us asking them to, so that had to be cut open again and damaged the paint once again. Basically, if you hire Paris, be prepared to serve as your own project manager. Without our repeated follow-ups the work would have been a 1-star or 2-star quality. As it is, I'd rate the experience as "okay."

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Paris Painting prepare an estimate?

An estimator conducts an in-person walkthrough of about an hour, checks surfaces and needed repairs or lead-safe work, and prepares a printed proposal during the visit.

Does Paris Painting offer carpentry as a standalone service?

No. Its carpentry repairs are integrated with painting and are not offered separately.

How does Paris Painting handle homes built before 1978?

It treats the paint as lead-positive and uses containment, no sanding, HEPA cleanup and safe disposal.

How long do historic exterior projects take?

Most exterior projects finish in 2–4 days; large multi-color Victorians take longer. A dedicated project manager sets the schedule before work begins.
