I hired Chris Shelby from A to Z Painting around the beginning of November. The project was a big one… my beloved 1924 Craftsman home. He’s a busy guy, so he warned me that it would be awhile before he could get to me, but assured me he could get it done by the end of December depending on the weather.Well, the weather cooperated and he started by scraping the old paint areas first. After scraping, he primed the house. And then started painting. I was so impressed at how he and his assistant really took their time and care with the project. It wasn’t a quick rush job. Chris kept me updated from the time I hired him until he was finished.I was outside several times while he was working and he had A LOT of people stop to talk to him about his work and to compliment him.He carefully trimmed the house out in a bright white which totally made the house pop! I have had so many people texting and telling me how good my house looks!I picked out a very different shade of yellow/green and at first a lot of my neighbors wondered if I was crazy, but after it was all completed, they all agreed that it looks amazing. He was able to take my weird color and transform this old house into a bright shining jewel! I’m so happy with the results, I plan on asking for an interior bid in the near future.If your looking for a quality job, go with A to Z. After receiving 4 bids, I chose Chris Shelby to paint our backyard fence. He just finished and we couldn't be more pleased with his work. It was a process finding the right person, and we did not go with the lowest bid for many reasons that I won't mention in this review... but the warning I would give is carefully choose who you hire! It took Chris over 1 month to start the job not only because he was busy with other projects but also because he watched the weather, making sure there was no rain in the forecast. His price was very fair, and his work was outstanding. He is a true professional who takes pride in his work, which is difficult to find in today's day and age. I am confident you will not be disappointed in whatever job you hire him for.
