Reviews frequently note careful prep, clean results, and good communication with the owner throughout the job. Many customers mention punctual crews and projects finished on the expected timeline. Pricing is often described as competitive. A small number of reviews report concerns about workmanship and follow-up, though these are in the minority compared to the overall feedback.

I just had one of my rental properties painted both inside and outside, and the team did a great job from start to finish. They took the time to thoroughly prepare every surface, and it really showed in the finished results.

The team was professional, punctual, and clearly take pride in their work. I was very happy with how everything turned out and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality painting services.

Thanks to Mark and the guys at Coleman Painting for their follow-through and professionalism! Our property at Modera Higley Commons in Gilbert, AZ looks amazing with the new colors and accent wall paints that they chose for our space. Thanks, again!

Working with Coleman Painting was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. They did a very sloppy painting job, broke multiple things in my house, later gaslit me that they didn't break things in my house, made a mess of my yard, left my property unsecured when not present leaving the backyard and shed open for potential theft, provided abysmal customer service once problems arose and refused to give any amount of refund or reimburse me for the time and out-of-pocket expenses I had to pay to fix and finish their work. Also, since I have seen Coleman respond to two of their previous 1-star reviews stating they don’t recognize the customer, I 100% worked with Coleman Painting, owned by Mark Coleman, out of Gilbert. He personally did my initial walkthrough at the house so this is the correct company for review.

Things started okay, but that changed when I visited the house over the weekend and noticed the side gate to my backyard and storage shed were both left wide open. I had them both closed before Coleman started the job as anyone could go in and take stuff from the shed if open. It was disappointing to see this but ultimately I never brought it up and waited for them to finish. After about a week I was contacted and told the house was ready for walk through. During the first walkthrough multiple things were broken: The carport door could not be opened, blinds in 2 bedrooms no longer closed fully and 1 had its border broken off hanging, sliding-mirror closet doors in 1 bedroom were off-track scraping against each other, a light switch didn't work, 1 bathroom outlet didn't work and the front doorbell no longer worked (this issue I didn't realize until later). All of these functioned properly before they started, despite them later gaslighting me saying they didn't. In addition, I quickly noticed that the paint job itself was done very poorly with multiple areas around the fireplace with drip streaks, door hinges had varying amounts of paint on the insides, some doorstops painted others not, very sloppy lines around multiple edges, paint all over door handles/locks, carport door painted badly on the outside, main front door painted on the inside (during walkthrough we agreed it wouldn't be painted), backyard porch roof not fully painted, paint splattered all over my decorative rock and bricks in the backyard and a giant lake of paint sludge/slime in my backyard. I was shocked and attempted to call Mark to discuss the severity of the situation and got his voicemail. Within just a few minutes he texts back stating to just put tape on everything wrong and they would fix it tomorrow. I was hoping to talk to him live to explain things as you can't really put tape on a giant lake of sludge, so decided to send an email that night with a list of everything. I would never hear from Mark directly again after this text.

They did a pretty good job fixing most things on the 2nd day, but not everything. During my 2nd walkthrough Travis was there and I pointed out some paint on door handles/knobs and the bathroom electrical outlet still wasn't fixed. He said they would for sure get it done after I left, then didn't. So I called and they came out a 3rd day to finish what they had just told me they would finish the 2nd day. On day 4, I found yet more issues and just gave up. They never even fixed the bathroom outlet, they just put the old one back into it.

Ultimately I had to purchase the materials and repaint the outside of the carport door myself. Then I had to pay someone to fix other things like the electrical outlet and some paint mess in the kitchen I found later. This doesn't even account for the time spent on all of this. Mark never called, or even responded to my communications during all of this. No apology, nothing. I emailed him stating how disappointed I was and that it seemed appropriate to get a partial refund, at minimum to compensate for my expenditures. Zero response. Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Mark and his team did a great job. He was the first one to come out and offer a bid, which happened to be the best priced bid as well. Despite a rain day they were quick to get the job done and everything looked great.

Mark and his team painted the inside of my home and did a wonderful job. I appreciated the consistent communication with Mark from my initial contact with him through the painting process. Mark was very helpful with looking at my painting choices and collaborating with me to ensure the right outcome for my home. The painting was done professionally, timely, and his team left my home every day clean and in order.

I highly recommend Coleman Painting!
