Don and crew did two exterior remodeling/construction jobs for us. Don did a fantastic job creating a new staircase and elevated walkway to make our backyard more usable. As an older house full of surprises, he had to contend with construction issues when rebuilding the back steps, but was able to get it done. In the process, he suggested a few improvements which we were happy to incorporate. Don also replaced a second stairway to the garage located within a breezeway that was in very poor condition. He ensured the breezeway would be critter proof from the outside and the interior had detailed finishes that made it a pleasant passage. The transformation took creativity, patience, and skill since the structure had "no right angles" to it! We plan to hire him for another job, and hope to get him soon as he seems very busy! I would recommend Don without hesitation.

I purchased a never-before-installed VERY NICE exterior front door to replace my existing door that didn't match the style of our house. I called Don at Don's Painting and Remodeling to see if he could give me a quote on installation. He came by within a few days and once we agreed on the job, we were on his schedule.Don & his helper arrived on time and quickly began setting up their equipment & work table. In no time, they began demolition of my existing door & casing. They discovered that my 73 yr old house had settled over the years and evidently the door opening was not square anymore. (Terminology may be wrong. ) Anyway, Don built a custom door jamb/frame in order for my new door to fit. At one point, it appeared that it was not going to work. But Don was determined. He and Shawn worked so well together and successfully installed my new door. They were punctual, tidy... cleaning up as they worked.. resourceful and professional. Even though this job became more difficult than first suspected, Don honored his original quote. I would definitely recommend his services!
