Cooley Brothers just finished painting the exterior of my home in Torrance. They worked for nine days mostly doing a lot of prep work and two coats of everything. Benjamin was in charge and kept me up to date on everything and did a great job overseeing the work. The finished job of painting and wood repair or replacement looks great, even two neighbours thought it was an excellent job. I am very pleased with the job. They removed drain pipes and light fixtures and anything attached to the walls and put them back again once the job was finished. They even washed the outside of my windows on the day of completion, something I did not expect.

Our house needed exterior painting in the worst way. We had peeling paint on most exposed surfaces including our fascia boards, gable vents, and patio support beams. Our stucco was in bad shape as well with discoloration and blistering where it came in contact with the soil surrounding our home. We also needed our weather beaten exterior doors painted and water heater cabinet rebuilt.

I sent our job to 4 different contractors for estimates (all rated highly on Yelp and Google) and ended up choosing Cooley Brothers. I would have trusted our job to any of the 4, but ultimately chose Cooley Brothers because of their attention to detail, grade A communication, attentiveness, and transparency. The price was not the lowest, but not the highest either. I was more interested in the way they treated their customer and the quality of their work. I was not disappointed with either. Marco came to our home and took the time to explain the scope of work, answer questions, make suggestions, and prepared the estimate. He was very professional.

The actual prep and painting was carried out efficiently with no problems or mess. The crew was careful not to leave trash at our home and were always courteous. Crew leader Bulmaro kept us updated with the project progress and was always available to answer questions. The crew did a fantastic job with the prep, painting, and stucco repair. The most important thing to me is that my wife loves how everything turned out.

Cooley Brothers was easy to work with and produced quality work. They did not have the lowest price, but in terms of value you'd be hard pressed to find another company that brings intangibles, attention to detail, and communicates as well for the money. We believe it was money well spent.

The true testament to their craftsmanship and skill emerged midway through the project when the team found that our old garden shed was structurally unsound—far beyond a simple paint job. Instead of just painting over the problem, Benjamin and his crew took the initiative to completely rebuild the shed from the ground up. This unexpected change was handled wonderfully, showcasing their broad construction expertise, not just their painting abilities.

Throughout the process, they were incredibly nice, highly communicative, and clear about the scope of work and timeline. It was an absolute pleasure having them on our property.

Cooley Bros. did an amazing job on my 3 bedroom house in Torrance. The exterior needed a lot of repair work, but they made it look like new.
After getting the quote from David Cooley and setting the date, Carlos became the person I worked with day-to-day. It was a pleasure to work with him. Communication with him was excellent. He and the rest of the crew were always on time and were very patient with our requests and questions.

With so many choices for residential painters in the South Bay it's very hard to figure out who to go with. We needed all of the trim, beams, and eaves around our entire home painted.
