Chad is super friendly owner of Prodigy and has always ensured I am happy customer. I had a small concern about something and he immediately reached out to resolve my concern and made sure to tell me they have free follow up requests if something isn’t up to the standard he commits to the customer. Definitely recommend!!
Avoid this company at ALL costs. Please read.I attempted to cancel my pest control service multiple times with the original company via phone and email while I was still living at the residence. No one answered calls. No one responded to emails. Cancellation was effectively made impossible. In early February 2025, I sent two written emails clearly requesting cancellation, explicitly stating that I had already been trying to cancel for two months without any response. I never received a reply or confirmation.. yet the billing continued anyway. My lease ended in early April 2025. Shortly prior, on March 28, 2025, I was involved in a serious car accident and was hospitalized for about a month, followed by rehabilitation where I literally could not walk. While I was hospitalized and in rehab, this company sent an email on April 28, 2025 claiming they had acquired the original company and continued billing me for services at a property I no longer lived at and had already tried repeatedly to cancel. They now insist (in January 2026) I owe money because they "sent an email," even though I had already canceled months earlier and was medically incapacitated at the time. When I finally spoke with them and provided written proof of my cancellation attempts, they refused to honor it and tried to distance themselves from the original company.. despite having acquired the account and its history. This is not a customer service issue. This is a billing and ethics issue. If you sign up with this company:-Be prepared to fight to cancel-Document everything-Expect silence when you try to stop service-Expect continued billing after cancellationI would STRONGLY discourage anyone from using a company that ignores cancellation requests, bills for unauthorized services, and attempts to hold customers financially responsible under circumstances like these. There are plenty of pest control companies that operate transparently and ethically. This is not one of them. If you look at other reviews (especially on Yelp), you’ll find that this behavior is all to common with this company. Don’t go through the trouble. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
Just let me know if this is acceptable!! I’m not impressed. It looks a mess and my neighbours says that it’s never really wiped down well!!
Once again, Prodigy Pest Control Boca Raton - and especially Desmond McIntyre - delivered exceptional service. This month’s visit reaffirmed why I continue to request him specifically. Desmond is consistently professional, courteous, and incredibly thorough. He doesn’t just treat the property - he takes the time to explain what he’s doing and why, offering helpful tips for long-term prevention. His work ethic and attention to detail are unmatched. It’s rare to find someone so reliable and committed to quality service. I remain thoroughly impressed and grateful to have Desmond on our pest control team. Highly recommend!
Contract but no results. Four months in, still spiders and a beehive.I waited 4 months before writing this so people don’t go through what we did.• A door-to-door sales rep convinced us to sign up, emphasizing they’d take care of our spider webs and even a beehive situation. We signed a 1-year contract.• I specifically asked for the first visit at 6:00 PM so I could be home. The technician showed up at 2:00 PM while I was at work, did a quick in-and-out, and left. I came home to the same spider webs everywhere.• I called to complain. They sent someone two weeks later (same tech). He was aggressive and told us that “this much spider web in two weeks is normal” and that we “need more frequent service.”• On the next visit there was a large spider nest. They didn’t remove it. I emailed immediately—no response.• Two more months passed. Before the next visit, I emailed photos and asked them to please clean everything, and they replied “OK.” After the visit, nothing had changed. We still had a huge beehive.• When I called again, they suddenly said they don’t handle beehives and told me to hire a beekeeper—even though the beehive was part of the original sales pitch that convinced us to sign.• Meanwhile, they keep charging $120 per visit. In our experience they’re hiding behind the 1-year contract while failing to deliver the basic results they promised.Bottom line: In my experience, the sales pitch over-promised and the service under-delivered—repeatedly. Communication was poor, one tech was rude, and key issues (spider nest, beehive) were left unresolved. Do not sign a long-term contract without getting, in writing, exactly what pests and tasks are included (e.g., beehive removal), what’s done on each visit, and what happens if they don’t deliver.I wish I’d seen a review like this before we signed.
