I have been a customer of Perma-Treat since December 2024. The reason I signed up for this service was because a neighbor was informed that she had mice in her attic and would need to replace the insulation. After hearing how much this was going to cost her, I decided to enroll with Perma-Treat.My home was treated with Thiamethoxam for occasional invaders and Brodifacoum for mice, and two bait stations were installed. Devin Jobe has been visiting my home every other month to monitor the bait stations at a cost of $85 per visit.On Monday, February 16, Peter Morison and Matt Ketchem came to perform my annual attic inspection. I was told that mice had invaded my attic. They showed me numerous photos that they claimed depicted mouse tracks, areas where mice had burrowed into the insulation, and fresh droppings. I was told that my attic needed to be treated with PermaTherm ($6,564) and that insulation would need to be replaced ($1,509), for a total of $8,073. Needless to say, I was shocked that I had been paying $85 every two months to have my home monitored specifically to avoid this type of problem.I contacted Devin and asked him to send me all photos of the alleged damage. He instead offered to come to my home to inspect the attic personally. After his inspection, I was informed that I do not have mice in my attic.I plan to report this matter to the Virginia Office of the Attorney General – Consumer Protection Section, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS), and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). I also intend to notify my HOA newsletter, as many residents in my community also use Perma-Treat.
James is awesome! He calls or texts to schedule our appointments, so we never need to remember to call him. He is friendly, thorough and answers all our questions. He is keeping our home bug and rodent free.

Caught in the act of generosity. I want to recognize your Certified Inspector Jonathan Long. What a friendly, generous, and knowledgeable guy, who really cares about serving his clients. We both happened to be at this home at the same time. I was there to help with some exterior repairs, Jonathan for a pest control inspection. Jonathan and I had some collaborative conversations that I felt were very beneficial to each other and the client. During the visit, the client’s very young son had nothing to do since this was a vacant property, so Jonathan popped his trunk and gave him a toy to play with. We love our local PermaTreat! Talk about one stop shopping for everything pest related! We've been using PermaTreat for 4 years now and the service has been nothing but stellar! Faye has been so helpful in scheduling and making sure all of our contract needs are fulfilled! And James has been taking care of our pest needs inside and out; ever since, we've not had any spider or ant infections! Many other customers in our community rave about him too!Furthermore, all of the technicians servicing our termite prevention contract have performed stellar work during the past three years!
