All the staff I came across were sensitive and professional above on point. Jodie made what I thought was going to be a very emotionally devastating day into one I can say was worth the trip from Toronto. Jodie, you managed to make me laugh when I thought I could only muster tears. My experience with Winmar was special. Thank you Jodie you are an asset to Winmar.
Winmar restoration were fantastic. Prompt profession knowledgeable and responsive. I would highly recommend them. Shout out to Mason and Clay who turned a horrid flood in the basement around. Feeling mighty grateful.
I dont like to leave negative reviews so I'll leave details of my experience.This experience with Winmar for flood restoration has been less than ideal and i hope this review saves someone else this grief.We were given an estimate of 1 week to renovate a flood damaged space.5 months later the job is still incomplete.Communication has been horrible from project management. They don't reply for days to anything email, texts etc.. I asked for a phone contact and they wouldn't give one.The jobs are left sitting unfinished for weeks on end. There were days we made special arrangements for them to come and no one showed up, or even had the decency to contact to say they are no longer coming.The work completed thus far is average to lesser quality. The employees doing the work are kind and very decent.We were begging them for weeks to show up at all to complete a just few things to finish the job so we didnt have to continue to pay to store our contents ( told we would need storage for 1 week, which turned to 1 month which has turned to 5 months). I was told one week from start when the estimate was approved at the end of April then later promised it'd be ready in June....then later it was July ...then he wouldnt give us a timeline. It is now September and it's just now almost complete ....finally.I chose flooring in June and was told we had to use a certain vendor so the order would take less than a week. In September when floors were finally ready for install I am told they had to still be ordered and again delayed the project further.The project manager communicated mostly through email so his lies were easy to see when you read back on conversations which was frustrating that no one was being accountable.It took a negative Facebook review after giving up on the project manager to actually get something happening on the project and an end in sight. They sent in another employee who deals with customer care to try and resolve the issue..they have been overseeing the completion and have been trying to resolve this promptly. I feel its attention is to mainly due to negative review and hoping it will be adjusted, lets be honest here, they asked for the reviews to possibly be edited if they could get the job completed.I wanted to write a detailed review on the experience. Personally I'd save yourself time, frustration and money and choose a better more efficient alternative if you can.
