While renovating my older home, I needed to update the termite bonds in order to receive my certificate of occupancy. I explained this situation clearly to the salesperson, Brian, and that the termite bonds were simply something I needed installed in order to meet the requirement.At the same time, my crawlspace was being fully encapsulated, so I knew I would not need ongoing pest service. I was very transparent upfront and told Brian that I would be canceling the service right away after the bonds were installed because I did not need an additional $50/month expense.Unfortunately, I trusted that Brian had my best interests in mind and did not carefully review the fine print of the contract. What I later found out is that the agreement I signed requires a 12-month commitment. When I contacted them and even offered to have them come remove the termite bonds and cancel the service, I was told that I still have to pay the full 12 months regardless.I have since spoken with two managers, and both simply told me there is nothing they can do. I even volunteered to have them come pick up the termite bonds and cancel the agreement entirely, which seems like it should be a very easy solution. Instead, they have chosen not to work with me at all.Now I am being forced to pay $50 per month for an entire year for a service I was very clear I did not need. While I take responsibility for not reading the contract thoroughly, it is disappointing that the salesperson did not disclose such an important detail when I specifically told him my plan to cancel immediately.This situation feels misleading and leaves a bad impression. I would strongly encourage others to read every detail of the contract before signing and be cautious about what is verbally promised versus what is written.
Jade was my tech and she has done amazing! Every time she comes I know that my service will be done right and thoroughly. I rarely see bugs in the house but I know if I do I can always call and someone will come out quickly.
Since I forgot GoForth was coming, I was uncertain who was at the door. He was thorough in gaining information & shared knowledge that enabled me to consider possibilities. Some technicians announce their presence & just spray. He showed interest in making sure my pest needs would be addressed & I could tell by how he looked around, he was making an inspection of my specific circumstances. Before leaving, he spotted termite traps & made reference to termite service by GoForth. When he learned I wasn’t using any service, he shared his knowledge about termites related to my circumstances. And he shared the process & cost options if I ever wanted to start service; encouraging me with termites statistics. I decided termite service was a wise choice and liked the possibility of a lower cost. I’ve used many pest companies over many years. At another home, a well known company costed me thousands of extra dollars to cover their mistakes. GoForth was the only company with the knowledge to resolve the issue. Dominique validates my belief that GoForth selects the best to serve their community.
Have had great experiences with all of the technicians that have come out to my house! DJ, Zach, Taylor, and Adam have all been very polite and efficient (I do apologize if I have missed anyone!) They've answered any questions I have had and are patient with explaining anything. You get a report and follow up with the services they did, which is greatly appreciated.
