worst experience ever, highly unprofessional, zero follow up, very bad technician, complaints fall on deaf ears, technician does what he wants when he wants and attitude matched that fact.

Tuesday June 6th
I'm a new customer, I let them know that I need 8 days notice to take time off work OR a Friday appointment between 1-5pm can be accompanied without taking time off. Any Friday. I live alone and have no kids and no neighbours so this cannot be changed.

June 9th
I get an appointment for Wednesday June 12th between 11-3, regardless of my request. I ask to reschedule and remind them of my availability. this should've been the first red flag.

June 12th
I get a rescheduled appointment for Friday June 16th between 1-5pm. This will work!

Well it didn't work. On June 16th the technician goes to my house at 11am, 2 hours early while I'm still at work 45mins away. He calls me to let me know he's there and had an attitude like I should've been home expecting him.
I told him the appointment was for 1-5 and he said he knows, but 11am works better for him and went on a rant about how it would be too much driving otherwise?
He asks if he can get started without me there (this was a first appointment, not a follow up, how would he get into my house, and why would I even allow that with no one there and I've never met the man before). I tell him to leave my property as my security system is going off and police will show up if he hangs around.

He then shows up again around 2pm when I'm home. He leaves some mouse bait stations (even though I told him Rats are the issue, not mice, you can't have both). He doesn't care, still leaves mouse stations and talks over me when I try to say anything. Afterall, he's the professional.
he leaves 1 rat station outside and an ant station. then he leaves! the whole appointment took 5-10minutes. Before he left I showed him a hole that needed to be filled and he said "yes we would need to fill it with copper" but he didn't do anything about it. he did not look at the areas of concern inside the home when I was trying to show him. he did not fill the Ø1" diameter hole with copper after telling me it was needed.

I called terminix to complain and request that a new technician is sent to do this properly and to never send that technician to my home again. His name started with a 'W'.

June 26th I get a new appointment for Friday June 30th, I have to cancel due to a business meeting. I get no confirmation after trying to cancel so I had to call them to confirm.

July 8th I get a rescheduled appointment for Tuesday July 11th, I remind them AGAIN that I can only have friday appointments 1-5pm or to give me enough notice to take time off work. they cancel and reschedule. By this time I see that they don't write things down or put any notes in anyone's file.

July 10th I get a rescheduled appontment for Friday July 14th between 9-1pm. I remind them AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN that it needs to be between 1-5pm, they cancel and reschedule. I'm already fed up with this company.

Later July 10th I get the appointment notification for Friday July 14th between 1-5. Finally. I agree to the appointment.

July 13th I get the schedule confirmation and it shows the technician will be the same guy I asked them not to send to my house anymore. I'm forced to cancel. This is ridiculous.

I then cancelled everything with this company and got rid of the rats myself. It's now been almost 7 months of no rats or mice in my rural home, no thanks to Terminix.

Do not bother using this company at all. We are just a number to them, prefixed with a dollar sign. I wasted hundreds of dollars and got nothing in return other than headaches.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!

Have had NOTHING but horrible experience after horrible experience. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Originally booked for December 9th between 9a-1p, technician did not show and I received no notice. I called to see where the technician was, and was told they would look into it and call me back immediately. I called back after waiting half an hour with no response, I was then asked if the window could be moved between 2p-3p I reluctantly agreed as I had already wasted the morning waiting for them. Again, the technician did not show and I received no notice. I called again to see where the technician was to hear he was 20 minutes away. He arrived at 3:30pm. The guy (who bragged about getting his certificate for pennies online) did a quick walk around the house with minimal effort, and only put steel wool in one of the many places it could have gone while doing my own separate inspection.

Our follow up appointment was booked for December 23rd. I knew the weather was awful, so I was expecting a phone call that the appointment was cancelled/rescheduled. Heard nothing, so I sat around expecting the appointment to still occur between the 9a-1p window. I received an email at 1:04p saying that the appointment was cancelled due to weather and would be rescheduled. I understand there was a storm, but there should have been a call made at some point the day before or even the morning of.

It wasn’t until 12 JAN 2023 (20 days later!!) that we were told our follow up appointment would be booked for 20 JAN 2023, between 9a-1p.

20 JAN 2023 arrives and I wait from 9a-1p, as expected the technician doesn’t come and we didn’t receive a phone call. I again called to see where the technician was, and was told they would look into it and call me back immediately. As expected, I received no call so I called back after waiting half an hour with no response. I was given no time frame when the inspector would arrive as they had to wait for scheduling to get back to them, and requested to have a manager call me.

Received a call at 2:20pm that the inspector should be here at 3p as they had an emergency. 3:08p no inspector, no call. 3:28p no inspector, no call. 3:54p no inspector, no call. I called customer service to see what was going on, I was informed the inspector isn’t going to be able to make it. Once again requested to speak to a manager, was told I would get a call back immediately.

4:48pm manager Michele called me. Ticket # 970516, apologized for the horrible service I’ve been receiving. Said she would have an inspector come the following Monday (23 JAN 2023) and would contact me on the 23rd to discuss compensation for the lack of customer service/service in general I’ve received.

23 JAN 2023, inspector arrives right at 9am. Starts the inspection of my attic, said she searched the entire thing and didn’t have any issues. Inspector told me to request a follow up since it was so far in between my first and second appointment. Spent a total of an hour here. After the appointment called and immediately requested a follow up to the follow up as recommended by the inspector. Received no call from Michele the manager.

Was told an appointment was available 09FEB2023 between 9a-1p. Confirmed and “booked” the appointment. Emailed manager Michele multiple times from 23JAN2023-09Feb2023, and received no responses.

09FEB2023 9a-1p no inspector calls, no customer service calls, no email. Called and spoke with Gerry, asked for a manager and asked when the inspector will arrive. Said he put a “reminder” request for the technician and manager to contact me. 1:41pm inspector arrives, spends 5 minutes at the top of the ladder without fully going into my attic and inspecting my attic to say “there’s no mice here, we don’t climb into attics to inspect.”

SO THIS ENTIRE TIME I’VE BEEN PAYING FOR SERVICE I CANT EVEN GET?! My ENTIRE issue is in my attic, but they won’t even go into the attic and do a full inspection.

Absolutely DISGUSTED by this company.

Let me begin with this has nothing to do with the costumer service representatives nor the exterminators who come preform the service, this one star rating has everything to do with management. I had contacted terminix to exterminate wasps, initially when booking with them they had said that they would give me a 3 month guarantee/warranty, and that they would be able to come Saturday ( I called Thursday), Friday morning they call me back saying that Saturday does not work, we cannot make it out, the next day available it Thursday…. Reluctantly I said okay, come out Thursday. They came, the technician was great, knew what he was taking about, I felt good about everything. 3 weeks later I still have wasps flying around the house, I called back and said that they need to retreat and I was told that I would get 3 months warranty. I was told they needed to contact management to confirm that it was okay. It has now been 3 weeks since I’ve contacted costumer service multiple times through email and phone and they cannot give me a straight answer because management will not get back to them. I am VERY disappointed with how management has handled this situation. And the situation has still not been resolved. I will NEVER recommend or use terminix, not because of the technicians or customer service representatives. It is solely because of management.

Thankfully Terminix was canvassing in our neighbourhood because we were in need of a new extermination company. We have used a competitor for the past three years and the service depreciated year over year. They only sprayed for spiders and wasps. We had decided not to renew due to the quality and the fact that the service representative was rude and short tempered.

What we got with Terminix was a really professional service. Our exterminator Eddie Bauer was thorough and addressed our questions and concerns.
Eddie took great effort in ensuring the bumblebees were safe, he cleaned all the existing cob webs before spraying. We had a wasp nest in our shed and evidence of mice in our attic. He dealt with it all!

The service was great and if we see any evidence of wasps, spiders or mice before our next scheduled service we can have them back at no extra charge.

Thanks Eddie great job.

We happily chose the service from one of their door to door salespersons. Paid in full. Got a note on the door that we were not home, please call to reschedule. Did so and spoke to Gerry. Nice guy, but kept saying there is no guarantee we will get service to call you, and i can not personally guarantee anyone will call. Seemed odd. I asked if he thought it was an odd response to a fully paid customer. He saw no problem with the answer and said again there is no guarantee anyone will call you back. Seems like they need to empower the person on the phone a little more so the customer feels looked after. Would never recommend this service to anyone. Incredibly poor customer management.
