Aptive Pest Control

Aptive came to our door offering pest control services. During the sales discussion, I explained clearly that we would be moving the following summer and that we did not want to sign up due to their 18-month contract. The representative explained that it would not be a problem because the service could be transferred to our new location out of state, since Aptive had services there as well. Based on this assurance, we agreed to sign up.

Recently, I contacted Aptive to cancel/transfer the service as discussed. However, Aptive informed me they would not cancel without charging a $200 cancellation fee. I explained that we were relying on the earlier statement that the service could be transferred and that we had raised the contract length issue up front due to our planned move. Aptive still refused to cancel without charging the fee and did not honor the assurance provided during the sales process.

They negotiated the cancellation fee down from $200 to $90, but I still believe this situation is unfair and misleading. The company’s sales pitch included promises that were not followed through when it came time to cancel or transfer service.

I believe Aptive misrepresented the terms or their willingness to accommodate our circumstances in order to secure business. Customers should not be required to pay cancellation fees after being told the service could be transferred as promised. This experience has made me concerned that other consumers may be misled by similar assurances tied to long-term contracts.

Isaac is great so professional and courteous. Knows to just text rather than wind up the dog and wake up the baby. Seems to really care about what he is doing. Listens closely to all of my needs and fills me in on everything he sees. We have definitely noticed a difference in and outside our house.

What an excellent service. I changed my pest control service 4 times in 3 years, this is the best one i felt so far. So much fair with using their products and treating each and every corner. They remove the spider webs around the house and treat hornets too. Price wise they are so reasonable. Would recommend to anyone looking for the best pest control service. 100/100
