Recent Reviews

4.70

(Based on 270 reviews)

Recent reviews frequently mention clear communication, knowledgeable technicians, and punctual appointments. Several customers appreciated receiving inspection reports and practical guidance on prevention. Some feedback highlights non-tenting and low-toxicity approaches used when suitable. A smaller number of reviews note frustrations around follow-up timing and ensuring all areas are fully addressed.

We contracted with Ecola services many years ago to safeguard our property from termites without the need for a full house tenting. Any termite evidence is quickly eradicated by calling with an alert. Ecola does an annual termite inspection and provides us with a report and will treat any observed activity while on site. We continue under contract.

Very professional courteous service from initial call to requested service and its' resolution. The agent who responded to my circumstance, John (Reno) Knox was very knowledgeable with the reason for my call to Ecola (Indian meal moth) which was foreign to me, thorough in his verbiage clearly and simply acquainting me with the habitat of moth, larvae which had begun, etc.

Excellent service! My tech AB was great and showed up on time every time. I'm pleased to report that after two visits , all of the spots where they were getting in,were covered ,the critters are gone. No poisonous junk needed

Updated Review – Ecola Termite (Seeking Resolution)

We’ve been long-time customers of Ecola and have always tried to work collaboratively with them. After months of attempting to resolve an issue that stems from their delayed treatment, we feel the need to document the situation clearly and publicly:

?

Key Issues
• Critical Area Was Left Untreated for Years
• The high-window area in our master bathroom was never treated at the time of initial service.
• Ecola did not bring the proper ladder, and when we offered ours, they declined for safety reasons, stating a company technician needed to hold it.
• Instead of rescheduling with proper equipment, the area was marked “fine.”
• Only years later — after we insisted and brought in an independent professional — was it confirmed that the area had been active for a long time and had never been properly addressed.
• Ecola eventually treated it, but only after years of delayed attention.
• Damage to Specialty Plaster During Late Treatment
• When Ecola did finally send someone to treat the area, the technician drilled visible holes into our specialty plaster, not in a discreet or appropriate location.
• They acknowledged the mistake and sent someone to repair it.
• Ongoing Operational Issues
• We have experienced scheduling problems, miscommunications, and technicians arriving with severe body odor — something Ecola acknowledged and said they were working on.
• Despite this, we continued to give them the benefit of the doubt because they usually attempted to remedy their mistakes.

?

Current Problem: Warranty Refusal Despite Delayed Treatment
• Ecola now states that our warranty has expired.
• However, the warranty period passed while the critical area was left untreated for years due to their oversight.
• We even offered to meet them halfway and pay a reasonable amount for retreating only this specific missed/delayed area.
• Our offer has not been acknowledged.

?

Breakdown in Communication
• Months ago, Danielle told us she would follow up.
• Since then, we have:
• Called the office repeatedly
• Left multiple detailed messages
• Sent texts as instructed
• Called Daniel (a supervisor) directly on his mobile — at the office’s encouragement
• We have not received a single response.

Where We Stand

We have been exceptionally patient for months. We simply want Ecola to take responsibility for an area that was left untreated for years and only addressed after our persistence, and to communicate with basic professionalism.

At this point, we are asking — respectfully and publicly — for Ecola to step up, resolve the delayed-treatment issue fairly, and respond to our outreach.

We will update this review once appropriate action is taken.

I had two gentlemen come for estimates, one for pest control and the other for termite inspection.
Both were very professional and knowledgeable. The termite man explained everything about termites that I would ever want to know and fortunately I only needed my attic sprayed. Again it was done professionally and very cleanly and we didn't have to leave the house. I would definitely recommend Ecola to anyone.
