Last fall, my entire building here in Prince George underwent inspection for infestation. The representative who has the contract for my building, Tim, was extremely rude and abrasive to me about my apartment at a time when I was going through severe grief shortly after losing my partner. When he reduced me to tears after being so disrespectful about my state and my belongings, including demanding I break apart boxes of personal mementos, claimed, “It’s okay, I have a psychology degree.” As if that gave him a right to speak to me the way he did. Before he sadly passed this spring, another elderly tenant recounted to me that Tim demanded he open sealed court documents (break the law) just because the papers were susceptible to infestation. (Naturally my neighbour refused, with all the foul language this illegal request deserved.) I know these aren’t the only complaints about Tim. But this man is so obsessed with bug prevention that he doesn’t seem to care for how his crass attitude affects the people he is contracted to help. Maybe because he has the contract, it’s given him a power complex and thinks he can treat people like this and get away with it? He’s the one who needs a psychologist! Shame on this company for allowing such a horrible person to work around people.
