I had a disappointing experience with O’Connor Pest Control after they got acquired by Terminix. Despite their promises, the service was not effective, and the pest problem persisted. I expected a more thorough and professional approach, but unfortunately, I did not receive it. I wouldn't recommend their services based on my experience.To make things worst, they charged me for a follow up service they never performed and the invoice got set to collections.Called and spoke to Dora at the Goleta location about the issue and she was very rude.
Zero stars would be more appropriate. Do not do business with this company. After signing a contract, they couldn't get rid of spiders around our house. I canceled the contract and they keep sending me a bill. I've called at least 12 times over the past 7 months trying to speak to a manager about our account and they won't call me back. The service manager yelled and interrupted me while I was trying to resolve this finally last week. Shady business and terrible customer service. They are owned by Terminix and I can't get ahold of anyone there either. I've filed a complaint with the BBB. Seriously, do not use this company.
We had an extremely bad experience with them. Long story short, I sold my home and as a result, needed to close my account. They threatened to charge me with $175 early termination fee and if I did not pay that would send me to collections.I had service with them for over the term period (1 year) but during COVID's peak I briefly placed service on pause. Shortly thereafter, I requested to resume service, however when I noticed our technician was no showing up and inquired with the office about it. They said I our technician was no longer with the company and I had to sign a new agreement, effectively renewing me for another 1 year term. I explained that collectively I had service for over a year and kindly requested that they not enforce the ETF given the circumstances. I talked to a couple people on their billing team as well as left voice messages, they said they would seek an exception from management and would get back to me. They never did get back to me. Instead they sent me a letter threatening collections. I ended up paying them, as the money wasn't the issue for me - it was the principal of the matter. Their team managed the whole thing very poorly and it left me upset enough to take the time to write this review. Moving forward, I'll be strongly advising friends and family to look elsewhere for service. Hope the $175 was worth it for them.
They were unfortunately recommended by my real estate agent in connection with the inspection of a new home. They recommended tenting , which went very smoothly by a third party provider and repair that was to be done by O’Connor and scheduled for two days. As other work was being performed on the house, my contractor observed there were were people from O’Connor on site for 10-12 hours on just one day. They billed $3200 without detail of time, work performed or rates, just a one liner. When challenged they verbally indicated they worked 24 hours, including travel from Ventura, even though their website indicates offices in Goleta, which would be no more than 20 minutes from my home. They further advised their billing rates are $125-$150 for on site workers. Best I can tell work was completed. You be the judge if this is fair or good business practice.
I called their service tech, Joel, and left him a voice message to let him know that he failed to fill bait stations. He did not return my call. Knowing how life circumstances can be , I gave him another call a week later to offer him another opportunity to correct the issue before I complained to the office. Still no call back. So after a second week, I called the office. The receptionist offered to change me to another service technician. This was just the most recent in a long string of similar problems with them so I informed them that I was going to terminate service. I also informed them that I expected them to reverse the final months charges, since they did not perform under the terms of our service agreement. They said they could not reverse the charges and would have a manager call me back. No call back occurred and they continue to bill me for services they did not provide. Nor have they come to pick up their bait stations, like they said.
