Overall sentiment trends positive with emphasis on professionalism and responsiveness.
We recently set up an account with Orkin and spoke with Kelsay. She was so helpful and the sweetest! Any question we had she was so quick to answer! She was the absolute best and we look forward to being a customer just based off of speaking with her!
Ben did a great job. He was polite and wore shoe covers inside the house. He was very thorough and got done pretty quickly. Will definitely continue to use them!
Terrible!!! I have paid my bait disk coverage clear to 2027. So now i feel trapped to finish the contract, or start all over with another company even while im still covered by them. They came out on time, so i gave them one star for their promptness. But thats where it ends. They sent a young person wearing the orkin uniform, yet admitted to me that he is new and knows nothing about the service and is there to learn. So we both waited for the manager to come. I don’t understand why if he knows nothing, like he said, he didn’t ride with his trainer when his trainer came alone with an empty passenger seat. ?????Anyway, he started using a long spiral tool on my front lawn and creating a huge mess, which he said he would fix. His fix was a kick or two with his boot. So I had a mess to later clean up myself. We got in an argument over how he was carelessly tearing up my grass. His answer was I shouldn’t have disks if I care about my lawn. To make a long horrible event shorter, we were on the phone with his manager and we decided to not use the spiral tool to avoid anymore damage and next thing I knew he was leaving. I asked, where he was going. He told me he was not doing my service. It was my understanding after the call that they would complete the service without the damaging tool. Instead a decision to leave. I’m guessing I offended him because I did not want the tool to tear up my lawn. This is not good customer service skills to be training his new employee with. I felt bad for the new employee. He even had a shocked look on his face by his trainers rudeness towards me. Orkin used to be such a good company. But in my opinion, it has gone down. He should not be taking my needs for the service personally. He is there to perform a service. Not to stand there righteously, telling me what he’s going to do to my house or walk away. I am very upset about the time and money lost with this service. And letting my friends know what a horrible experience I had with this company.
Mr. Terry has always been very nice and respectful of people homes. He takes the time to answers questions and explain each treatment. As a sign of respect he always offer to take his shoes off before entering at the front door. I really appreciate that.NurseXRP @ Richmond Hill.
I really hate giving bad reviews but my experience with Orkin was just not good. We had some rat poop in a small area in the attic and ended up adding this pest control Insulation. The guys who came out didn’t cover my closet nor tell us to cover it and all this stuff got all over our clothes. They not only did that but they didn’t cover anything in our attic and this insulation ended up everywhere. I was so upset! They also didn’t cover above our garage because they said they didn’t know even though I told the agent who did our work that it was considered another room and it was included in the square footage. After talking to the manager he gave us a discount of 350 and said he would come out to clean it/add an attic door thing that’s supposed to prevent the stuff from falling in every time we open the attic. They came and “cleaned up”, another day they came and added the other portion they missed and added the door thing. I haven’t been in the attic because I’m 35 weeks pregnant but today I went to get some of my Christmas stuff and I really don’t know how their version of clean is considered clean. All of my Christmas decor boxes are filled with the powdery insulation. Even with the attic door there is stuff still falling down every time, the manager himself installed the door and it doesn’t even look professional. The first time around the technician left a mask and the second time they left a roll of tape. When I go to my attic now the walkway is covered in this stuff, if I go with sandals my feet get itchy because it’s an irritant and it gets all over my clothes. The door thing is a trip hazard every time I am going back down. I just really regret ever going with Orkin and adding this insulation. Sure there was a discount but I would have rather dealt with the issue myself. I still owe them a bill for their shabby work that I’ll have to pay. I tried to ask them to take it all back the first time and they said it could damage my existing insulation which was in great condition according to their technician. If your considering adding pest insulation please either consider someone else or be on top of them.
