This review is about rodent extermination. They installed a barrier to prevent activity under the crawl space. Some areas (overlapping wire) were not well done and a big gap stayed in it for a while. We usually had to point out where the issues were. It took months to get the rats out. They claimed there weren’t any - but we had to insist to keep traps (and we were right.) 2 years later, there’s another hole under the barrier. They ONLY set trap for a week, didn’t catch anything and “assumed” there was nothing in the house. We insisted AGAIN and despite them continuously gaslighting us - we were right.We’re keeping the contract only because we know there will be more based on our location - not because of their ability to gaslight…
Hughes stands behind their word. Had things that were missed when buying a house but they came out to do detailed inspections to make sure I was good. Businesses make mistakes but the reaction is the most important thing.

Living in FL you have to accept you have bugs - everywhere - but not in the home! We called Hughes to make sure no critters got past the threshold of our windows and doors while we were away on a trip. Chris came, put on shoe booties to protect our floors from dirt, and sprayed away. He was knowledgeable and personable and we felt very happy with the results.
Unresponsive, unprofessional, unaccountable.The team from Hughes came to my house to assess my possible termite damage. I work from home, so I did not supervise them closely. However, when they left, I noticed that they damaged the area in and around the entry to my crawl space (pictures included). It's a small matter, so I let it go, yet was hesitant to continue doing business with them.About a week later, one of their representatives reached out to me to inquire about the quote they sent me. I mentioned the damage and provided the pictures. Rather than apologize, they denied culpability.Since their denial, I've reached out to them via voicemail and text - both to Tony who reached out about the quote and to the tech who came to my house (Evan). They have not responded to my inquiries.Either they did not recognize the damage they did, or they recognized it and did not tell me. The former is a matter of attention to detail, the later a matter of integrity. When combined with their lack of accountability and general unresponsiveness, I feel fully justified giving them the worst possible rating.***UPDATE***Since I posted this, a representative replied with a comment to this post. They said they would review it internally and follow-up. About a week later, I did receive a call from Hughes. However, it was not a follow up from management, but a salesperson reaching out to sell me again. No mention of my previous issues. I was taken aback by the complete lack of awareness and accountability throughout multiple encounters with people at different levels of the company. If I could take away the one star, I would.
