I was recently very dissatisfied with DeAnza Termite & Pest Control not only for the service they performed on my home but the extreme lack of professionalism from the customer service operators in the office but the owner as well. My husband and I bought our home last year and signed up for this service as we were getting a lot of earwigs and spiders throughout the house. One of their door to door sales men approached the service as a quarterly done treatment on the home with no commitment worry free and could be canceled at anytime. When my husband agreed the salesman already had the page on his iPad scrolled to the bottom and simply asked him to sign. The first time they came around they left spiders eggs throughout our house and after staying with them for almost a year now they have not once taken them down. Yesterday when my husband tried to cancel our service they surprised with a $100 cancellation fee as a “reimbursement for the initial $1 payment of the first month of service” which mind you they told us was being run as a promotion for the first treatment done on the house. When he tried to cancel Martha who answered the phone was immediately stand offish and very rude. Martha started yelling over the phone and hung up on my husband mid conversation and refused to answer when he called back. I then tried to call to resolve the issue myself and immediately yelled at me as well and simply said “your husband already called” and refused to solve the issue. This morning the owner called my husband begging him to remove the one star review as it would “hurt the business” and when my husband did not agree to remove the review he was called a “Karen” and hung up the phone on my husband. As someone who not only has worked in customer service and have family members who run their own business this is NOT how you run one. I would just like to make everyone aware of all of this before you sign a contract with them.
