AMAZING! So normally big name companies freak me out because you think you’re going to get a cookie cutter service but I was completely wrong. I was assigned Joe Matos as my inspector and all I can say is he was a life saver. I called completely stressed out because of our insurance not taking our situation seriously and not helping us get housing, someone to clean up extreme water damage and plumbing damage. Joe swept in and got the insurance to put us in a hotel, he explained to me what my claims process was and what I should expect from Roto-Rooter. He answered a frantic call on a Saturday night at 8pm and was still friendly and kind. Thank you Roto-Rooter for a quick and efficient job and thank you Joe for helping make our lives so much easier in a crappy (literally) situation!

Jacob (master plumber) is exceptional. He is very knowledgeable about plumbing, especially older systems. He walks you through the entire process and checks all aspects of the system to ensure success after install. Jacob and Brian were incredibly communicative and responded to our call in a timely manner. They schedule the job quickly and helped us manage the problem until the proper parts came in. We felt taken care of throughout the entire experience. Do not hesitate, call Jacob and the team to assist you with your plumbing needs.

They were informative, honest, and completed the job to my satisfaction. Jason made me feel at ease, Brian did a great job of communicating and the workers took the time to do the job right. A great experience during a stressful time.

I trusted this company to install a new HVAC system a little over a year ago. I've gotten quite an education on systems since their install.

Essentially, they installed a VERY expensive communicating air handler to work with a base-level NON-communicating Heat Pump. ALL I knew at the time of install was that I was getting a new system. I had no idea how poor their choice of product was for my home until it was too late. I felt I had no choice but to act quickly because I was told my old oil furnace system was "red tagged" or unsafe to use. Truthfully, they offered 3 options: repair the current system, replace the current system, or go with a "highly-efficient, ultra modern" heat pump. They really pushed this system saying it was a certain seer level and that I would qualify for ALL sorts of rebates and incentives from the government - none of which happened.

Here are some more bullet points to help you make your decision on whether or not to use this company:

- left trash from the install in my yard
- had to come back the very next day after install because they installed the wrong type of thermostat
- had to come back a month after install to install a mysterious "box" under the air handler. I have no record of this work being done because they refuse to let me see the paperwork / invoice for it. This was Feb. 19th of 2025
- system formed a LITERAL block of ice in it after only a few days of using it to cool my home in the summer. Tech tried to chalk it up to some nonsense about difficulty shipping parts during covid (it was 2025 ... ) - ? They actually had to turn the system OFF in the middle of summer to let it melt while I slept in my attic that has separate AC. They added a small amount of coolant to the unit to "fix" the problem. See the photo.
- thermostat is off / wrong and always has been - they blame my old house, etc. - shouldn't these factors have been taken into consideration prior to the install? When I asked specific questions about the thermostat, the tech responded, "Well, we'd have to consult an expert for that". Aren't YOU supposed to be the expert!?!?
- NOTHING in my set up qualifies for any tax rebates or cash incentives from PPL.

After giving up and consulting a reputable company, we found:

- Heat pump had a leak and was pretty much running on VERY little coolant. This discovery was a stark contrast to the "all is good" seasonal maintenance updates that Curtis performed
- This was the result of a broken part that needed to be replaced. I also had to pay to have the unit flushed and restocked with coolant.
- New company was taking pics because they were in total and complete disbelief of how unprofessional and shoddy the installation was.

Final notes: Curtis Total Service is currently dealing with an ongoing lawsuit for taking advantage of customers not fluent in HVAC tech or that are elderly. My last conversation with their General Manager ended with him calling me "Stupid" because:, "You could have gone with ANY other company but us, did research, etc., but you chose us. You're stupid"

This company is an absolute fraud. If this review costs them even a dime, I'll be happy.

To be honest we have had not the best experience with Curtis in the pass with the system that we had installed... mainly the system then any one person at Curtis... But we stuck it out with them and did the rest of the work needed to get our system working correctly... were still getting accustomed to it... But as of today... we needed a professional and my wife didnt want to call Curtis... but I said I dont want to deal with someone who doesn't know what was done recently and who just installed our system... like taking a caddy to Lexus dealership... yes they work on cars... but they specialize in that brand... long story short... Curtis Sent John who not only was patient but very kind and very helpful... not only did he retrace the entire system in our house to find this small issue caused by a temporary install that another plumber didnt see but... but was kind to wait till our other plumber was able to capp off and fix his problem to fix ours... Thank you for sending John. Much Success to him.
