Feb. 27, 2026 EDITThank you Ernie for responding very quickly to my review and graciously offering to make things right. Someone was indeed sent out the very next day after we called to schedule. The entire process was very pleasant, from our scheduler to our plumber. Our Plumber was Scott and he informed us that the first person did not do the job correctly and used the wrong pipe for our hot & cold water line leaking in our ceiling space which is an enclosed area (he used something meant for an open area such as under the sink instead). He removed the sharkbite fittings and installed a new correct pex fitting for a more permanent repair solution, and soldered it together - which the other person also did not do, and fixed up everything for us during the same visit. He was very pleasant to deal with, educated us, and checked out a few other spots for us while here. We are thoroughly satisfied and will definitely recommend and continue to use Ernie's in the future. Thank you Scott and Ernie! :)----------------------------------------------------During 'Snowmageddon' we had a pipe burst through our ceiling and Ernie's came to give us an estimate and repair. The estimate was free as they advertised, repair seemed well, and the technician seemed nice and timely. It was suggested that we get the pipe repaired with PVC(?) I believe, which is a more flexible material and will expand better instead of repairing the pipe with a metal pipe, which our original pipe is. Since he was the expert, we went with what he suggested. All seemed well until the next Winter when we noticed a leak in the same exact spot which required us to open up our ceiling again. We called Ernie's again to come and give us another free estimate. This time, the person that came (different person) said that he'd have to charge us $200 just to go into the attic to even look. That seemed weird so we tried to go without and tried to patch it up. That spot has given us problems every Winter since. We will be doing a full repair with metal soon but the thought and trauma of that ill-repaired pipe during Winter every year sucks. It's completely fine throughout the year but during Winter is when it starts leaking again. Not enough to notice right away but eventually a stain appears in the same spot on our ceiling and every time, I'm reminded of what our expert recommended which turned out to not be a wise choice for our house. That and the random charge to go into the attic left a sour taste in our mouths. Thoroughly disappointed.
After 25 years living in my phone, I found in December 2025 that both showers were plugged. I called Ernie’s, our long time plumbing company, to correct the problems. Ernie’s sent Anthony to check the issues with the plumbing. What was found can be classified as a “Nightmare before Christmas”. Scenario. Both sides of the plumbing had moved where the back of the house, the plumbing was much lower than the exit to the city system. Anthony allowed me to sit with him as we moved the camera from front to back showing up and down holding waste and several breaks plus tree root blockage. Another adventure! Ernie’s replaced 115 ft of sewer lines on both major branches. Three 4’x4’ foot tunnels had to be excavated to do the job. New sewer pipes were hung from the foundation to assure stability. The team did a good job, cleaning up the property. Anthony and the team did a great job.Photos show new sewer pipes compared to original and the second shows front yard after the work is completed.
Anthony did a great job in replacing our gas line.everything was as he said it would be . Very communicative in details. I definitely recommend him to everyone who is needing plumbing work .
Austin was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything well. He stopped the leak under my sink. He replaced my clogged old faucet with a new modern design. I couldn't be happier; would reccomend to anybody!
" Buyer Beware!! "We had Ernie's Plumbing do scan of the sewage pipes because of a recurring clog. After the video scan that gave use the estimate here attached. It was VERY expensive (as you can see) so I asked for a copy of the video we paid for and they said "we do not supply copies of our scans."That was an immediate red flag!I called another plumbing company (LD Plumbing) and they said they could do a scan of the system and would provide a video with an explanation of what was found. They cane out and did the complete scan and said there was a MINOR problem, showed us the scan and said they could fix it for $450!!They did fix it for $450 not $3000 OR MORE!!(2) Response to the owner's (Ernie) reply.(A) I spoke at length to Michael the plumber who did the scan and he said they do not supply copies of the scan to customers, I called the office number and they confirmed to me that they do not supply copies of the scan to customers.(B) Justin did NOT stand over Michael and watch the scan.(C) Michael the plumber went into a long description of how laborious the repair would be to fix the dual clean out and even sent me a picture of what they would use to do the repair (see the picture). That is what we were quoted $3000 to replace!(D) LD Plumbing came out and did a full scan of the entire pipe system inside the home and outside. Came back and said there is only one minor problem which was that the dual clean out had slipped off the pipe and provided us with a picture (see the picture) and the repair would be quick and they would do it for $450!(E) They did the complete repair (NO BANDAID) using exactly the same item that Michael showed me in the picture he sent. (See the picture of the FULL REPAIR!)Once again I say BUYER BEWARE!
