My daughter had this company come troubleshoot her hot water heater. The technician stated the thermal switch needed replaced and he quoted a price of $628.00 for a $20.00 part. Then he stated they can replace the hot water heater for 1,728.00.
Why would someone replace a hot water heater for a $20.00 part and why would someone pay $600.00 labor for a part that takes 15-30 minutes to replace?
Technician was nice, but company prices are extremely high. The company name makes sense now.
I normally don’t post reviews, but wanted the public to be aware of these high prices.

All the employees from the owner to the repair technicians at Benjamin Franklin Plumbing & Drains were prompt and professional in every aspect regarding the repairs and replacement to the main drain lines at my home. Everyone from my initial contact with office personnel through the final repairs was courteous and friendly and kept me timely advised of scheduled appointments. They went out of their way to provide great customer service and competitive pricing in meeting and exceeding expectations. I would highly recommend this company without reservation.
