June 2024 I spend 20k on a new furnace and AC. Not in love with the sales tactic that if you choose them before they leave you get more money off, but do be it. April/may 2025 not a year later ac goes out. They said it was failure with wires from ac to thermostat. Took two appointments to figure this out.October 2025 AC fails again, took two appointments and 3 technicians to figure out the issue. Mostly because I also have a mini split and they kept looking at that after I had shown them multiple times that it’s not the mini split it’s the AC.Finally a technician”thinks” he knows and says he’ll need to order parts and will reschedule. Fast forward beginnng of December I have to call and ask what’s going on. They forgot to order the part. They say they’ll order it and call me when it’s in. It’s in, they call me make a date. I take off work, they then cancel due to cold. Understandable. We reschedule, 3 weeks later. I take off work, they cancel due to snow. Again understandable, we reschedule for march 2. 5 months since AC broke, 2 months since part was “in”. Technician gets here, then tells me they don’t have all the parts they’ll need and need to reschedule….Ok fine, last time.. nope. Get a phone call three days later (mind you had to take another day off of work), technician is on his way. Finally it’ll be done, NOPE! Just got another phone call tbat they’re canceling due to rain. Mind you it was raining 10 minutes prior to that when they told me he was coming.I’ve tried multiple times to speak to someone who can help with this. I get told they’ll send my concern to a customer service person and they’ll reach out to me. Twice they’ve sent, twice I’ve heard nothing. Today I rescheduled out again and was told there is no supervisor that I am able to speak with.Ever since peterman brothers took over it’s become a franchise of shoots and ladders and no one seems to care anymore. Worst of all is I’m at their mercy of getting this fixed. Since it’s their product failure there is no cost. But it’s becoming apparent this will not be fixed any time soon.
The service I have received from Peterman Brothers over the years has always been top notch.During my most recent service, Israel quickly identified the issue, offered me multiple options to address it and did the work completely and in a timely manner. Another wonderful experience with Peterman!
Yesterday Peterman Brothers came out to look at our heating unit and told us we needed a new burner, but that it couldn’t be replaced until Monday. At the time, the unit was still working—just intermittently. After the technician left, the heat never turned back on. I called Peterman Brothers and was told they couldn’t send anyone back out until the following day. With temperatures at -2°, we were forced to find somewhere else to stay for the night. This morning I had another HVAC company come out. They immediately found that the Peterman technician had not turned the gas back on and had also reinstalled one of the burners incorrectly. The new company had replacement burners on hand, installed them easily that same morning, and charged about half of what Peterman Brothers had quoted.I’ve been a member for a while, but the quality of service has clearly gone downhill. Leaving a family without heat in subzero temperatures due to basic oversight—and then being unable to respond—is unacceptable. The fact that another company resolved the issue immediately and at a much lower cost only added to the frustration. I hope Peterman Brothers takes a serious look at their service standards and training, because this experience was extremely disappointing. Also one other note. They did not wear booties on their feet when they came in the house so they tracked in salt and snow.
We just bought a home that still had the original 50-year-old furnace and AC, and Peterman Brothers made the entire replacement process smooth from start to finish. The installation team was absolutely outstanding, knowledgeable, professional, polite, and incredibly respectful of our home. They took the time to explain everything, answered all of our questions, and worked efficiently while keeping everything clean and organized. You can tell these guys truly know what they’re doing and take pride in their work. Going from such an old system to a brand-new HVAC setup has made a huge difference, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re looking for a company you can trust, Peterman Brothers is top-notch. Highly recommend!- The Pawlowski’sFort Wayne, Indiana
It was New Year's Eve (day) and Harry came to look at our electric panel that was not connected properly at the top and was somewhat dangerous to be touching. He instantly made me feel comfortable and safe by sharing his knowledge on what he was doing, what needed corrected and later, what could be replaced to make everything up to code. He was very professional and friendly. The anxiety filled problem became a calm experience. Thank you Harry.
