E T Mechanical approached the issue of installation of heat pump with professionalism and solid work ethic. Staff was expeditious in response to queries and installers were knowledgeable and it was quite evident they knew what they were about. No time was wasted in their approach to the work at hand. We have been clients of ET Mech. for sometime and the company did not disappoint.

After a very disappointing first experience with ET Mechanical, I was fortunate to have Chris assigned to my follow-up service call — and he completely restored my confidence in the company.
From the moment he arrived, Chris demonstrated exceptional professionalism, integrity, and genuine care. He took the time to thoroughly inspect my furnace, clearly explained what was wrong, how the issue may have happened, and what precautions I should take to avoid similar problems in the future.
Unlike others who push unnecessary systems or try to upsell expensive solutions, Chris offered honest, practical advice based strictly on my needs and the needs of my house, not what would make the company more money. His transparency and ethics were truly refreshing.
I asked him about alternative options, and he explained each choice clearly, outlining pros and cons without any pressure. He was patient, informative, and genuinely committed to helping me make the best decision.
Most importantly, Chris went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of after my previous negative experience. He assured me that the problems I faced earlier did not reflect how the company operates, and his actions backed that up fully. He stayed until everything was up and running, made sure the system was safe and functioning correctly, and left only when he knew I was completely satisfied.
Chris is an absolute blessing to work with — a true professional and an incredibly kind human being.
Because of him, my faith in ET Mechanical was restored.

Original: Absolutely the worst service provider I have ever dealt with. Zero professionalism, zero accountability, and zero interest in customer care.
I contacted ET Mechanical because my electric furnace stopped working. They sent an engineer named Mat Ian, and the experience was shocking from start to finish.
He “diagnosed” a complicated furnace issue in under 3 minutes — which is either miraculous or a sign he wasn’t interested in actually troubleshooting anything. He didn’t explain what was wrong, how it happened, or what could be done to fix it. Instead, he immediately tried to upsell me on replacing my system, pushing a $15,000–$20,000 heat pump rather than performing actual diagnostics or repairs.
It became clear his priority was sales, not service.
To make matters worse, I had no backup heat, and when I booked the call, ET Mechanical clearly stated (as is standard practice) that if they cannot fix the furnace, they would provide temporary space heaters. Mat blatantly claimed he “didn’t have any” and that heaters were “only for membership customers.”
When I called the office to confirm, they told me that was completely untrue and that heaters must be provided regardless of membership status.
Magically, one heater suddenly appeared in his truck after the office confronted him. When I requested additional heaters to properly heat the house, he promised to bring more from the shop — and then never returned, never called back, and completely ignored the situation.
In the end, ET Mechanical charged a hefty fee, did absolutely nothing, offered attitude instead of solutions, and left me without proper heat. The lack of professionalism from both the technician and the company is astonishing.
I will NEVER recommend ET Mechanical to anyone.
They are, without question, the worst service providers in Fredericton, and my experience was deeply disappointing from every angle.

I used these guys in 2011-12 ish when I put a ductless AC in my house on the Portobello and thought I would use them again. I called them in August and they sent a guy out to do a quote and I also asked for a quote on a ducted AC and if they did spray foam insulation on ducts ? Buddy told me that he would get back asap and after 2 weeks the power went off again so I text him never mind the AC unit because I made it clear from the beginning the generator panel was my number one concern. But I still wanted the quote for it, just I wasn’t going to do it his way with the government aid thing he suggested because it takes multiple quotes from multiple companies and waiting months when I was looking for immediately getting the panel work and maybe upgrade it to 200amp breaker. It’s now October 2nd and I still haven’t heard back from him or anyone from this company. So a company I once highly recommended, I don’t recommend because they must have so much business they don’t need to return messages or quotes. I am in my mid 40’s and I am not going to chase people when I am offering them money for fare work.

Edit: ET called us after this review to make things right. They have since filled the hole in the wall and fixed the ceiling, and built us a new cabinet for the electrical panel.

They have also stated they will come fill the hole in our yard and re-seed our lawn this spring. (This they did not end up doing)

While this shouldn’t have happened to begin with, we appreciate the extra mile to make things right. I have changed the review to reflect this.

Did such a horrible job on upgrading our electrical panel. Dug up our backyard to get to the wiring but didn’t fill it back in, so we have a huge hole across our entire yard. Didn’t seal the wall where they ran the wires in which we didn’t realize until we had an energy inspection done. We now have cold air coming in through a big hole in the wall and mice. Cut a huge hole in our wall and drop ceiling and it’s just a mess. 0/10 do not recommend.
