Mathew came to service my heaters and AC for last two times. I went to my attack yesterday and saw something which blow my mind away! I had a roof change last year and saw AC pan full of nails, pieces of roof shingles and woods. I broom them and cleaned it. How during two visits it was not cleaned or reminding me to clean? But, Mathew wanted me to buy drainage liquids to clean the pipe from him. Never send him back again! Thank you!Picture is after I cleaned one full pan out of the pan.
Had the power go out to one of my bedrooms. Our breaker had tripped a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Not sure why. Might've been overdrawn from us bringing a space heater into that room. Either way, space heater was out of this room when this happened. Power shut off. Breaker was in the on position still. I assumed it was a bad breaker switch so I stopped by, picked one up, and swapped it out. Didn't fix it. Called Berkey's and was able to utilize their after hours appointments for an additional fee, $140 for non-MVP members. ($99 for MVP members)Chris Kohr was my tech and he was a straight shooter. Very transparent and super helpful. He went through the steps and even showed me where I screwed up on the breaker switch install. Whoops! Ultimately found an outlet in the room that had a black burn mark on the outlet cover. Sure enough, that sucker was burnt to a crisp. I'm just glad it wasn't worse. Sounds like my breaker was unable to trip itself again.TLDROlder homes with metal boxes around the outlets/switches. If you upgrade those yourself, add electrical tape around the new switch/outlet to avoid possible contact with those metal boxes from things shifting. Berkey's is awesome. My electrician Chris was amazing.

I can’t say enough good things about Berkey’s, KP, and their team of salaried (NOT commissioned) HVAC techs! They give you sound advice, suggestions and recommendations regarding any HVAC issues you may be facing - without the pressure of having to make an on-the-spot decision that you don’t feel comfortable making. They are super thorough in their assessments and you feel good knowing that you can trust their advice.My heater would blow cold air - I’ve had 3 different HVAC companies through my home warranty take a look and none of them could provide a fix. Turns out the Nest thermostat needed to be replaced with a Honeywell T6, and as soon as we made the change, everything magically worked!Best part, they didn’t charge me a stupid service call fee that would not go towards the cost of repairs!Instead, I signed up for their VIP Membership for like $20/mo and have them on speed dial in case I have any HVAC, electrical or plumbing issues - I get next day (not next week, we’re too busy, and gonna charge you a service call fee) service. I feel you get the backing of a big company, not a fly by night, solo tech working from his truck, or moonlighter - these guys are trustworthy and am happy to partner with Berkey’s!
