I walked into the store and showed them the part that I needed, less than 5 minutes later all of the parts were on the counter and they explained exactly what i needed to do to get the shower going again. The big box stores had no idea what I needed and McElhaney was better priced.

Walked in this place the other day looking for plumbing supplies for a sink. As soon as i walked in the guy at the desk immediately helped me. He offered great advice and expertise. No one would even look my way at the big box stores. Definitely going back for any and all my future plumbing needs.
If you're in need of plumbing and plumbing advice, this is your place to shop. I remember the eighties when Mr. McElhaney had it. It's changed very little. I recently brought in a tub fixture from a house built 60+ years ago. The man behind the counter asked, "replacing, or rebuilding?" He knew my answer and tossed the kit on the counter. Never looked at it to see what brand it was. Turns out it was a grandson of Mr. McElhaney. Scott is his name. He seems to be as knowledgeable as his grandfather. And just as friendly. These are Hattiesburg folks. I see them at live at five and other places. Yes, you can go to big box stores to get your plumbing all hours of the night. But you'll night get the wealth of knowledge found where the professionals shop, McElhaney's Plumbing. Giddy up!
