Customer feedback is mixed. Positive notes mention timely scheduling for some projects, clear communication from certain technicians, and successful water heater replacements. Critical reviews cite difficulty reaching the office, scheduling confusion, and concerns about follow-up on service calls. Pricing or paperwork communication has also been a pain point for some reviewers.
So call DOE plumbing to fix my hot water heater. They came up the some day and said they fixed it. Well it got hot. The next day took a show. It was real hot. Took a second show and ran out of water. I thought there was something wrong with the well. Called them and they said that the thermostat may need to be replaced. I ask them to come up and see about the well pump. They said they couldn't find a thermostat and couldn't come up that day. Had a well company come up and they said the well is fine just ran out water. He said the hot water heater got to hot and the over flow valve stayed open and drained the well. Called doe plumbing and said they couldn't find a thermostat. Well kept the hot water heater braker off all weekend and Monday Called them up and they said the same thing. Well wondered if I could find a thermostat. Went to Home Depot and they stocked them. Changed them out and wire it the way they wired it. Well over heated right away. Well it wasn't the thermostats. Call them and got there answer machine. The never called me back. Had a electrician check it and it was wired wrong. Works fine now. Never heard back from Doe plumbing. Well have a hold tank that my sewer goes into. It find up with water when the hot water got to hot and filled the tank. It will cost $600 to pump the tank. Al this problem just because they wired it wrong. Have never heard from them.
They showed up and the did the job well however, when it came time to work with the office to get them set for payment, Kirk was ready to hang up on me saying he wasn't interested in working for us again. Okay fine, but I do need to still pay you. Simple tax and insurance documents are common requests and shouldn't be a reason to get super rude and threaten to not work for us again. If your office people don't understand common requests for paperwork, it might be a good idea not to have them manning the phones. Kirk was extremely rude but being that they did fix the problem 2 stars.
So disappointing on customer service and no communication. Request for work to b done and a week later kept calling no response. Then into 2 weeks and was told to stop calling. The "bookkeeper" said was never on schedule. Then called different company and reputation of Doe Plumbing they blow people off and just horrible. I would NEVER recommend Doe Plumbing ever
Had a great experience working with Brian. He was able to get me a quick estimate and worked my hot water replacement into their schedule. There was a broken part on my new water heater, no fault of theirs, but he helped me contact the manufacturer to have a replacement part sent overnight. He communicated with me through the process and I am all set with hot water now. Thank you, Brian.
Had a gas leak for about a week that was "non emergent" or big enough to do any damage. It was safe and not that bad. Told my partner she could light a lighter and it wouldn't do anything as I never seen him move so fast. He ignored us and left as fast as he could to avoid the consequences of this companies responsibility. I supposedly have a bill about to go to collections I've never received and my previous bills are current. I shouldn't have to pay for their mess up. Mistakes happen but own it. The first bill was around $300 for 4 pipes. A year later was $300 for 1 pipe after a generous reduction in price for questioning the rate. Just a bit sketch. Replaced the pipes for our new water heater and then suggested we replace the water heater after inspection and job repair. Will not be using them ever again. Just ridiculous.
