I never write reviews, but in this case I'll make an exception. We were faced with an unexpected sewer line collapse just days from closing on the sale of our house. Streamline pulled out all the stops to get the project done before closing. At one point, another unexpected related problem became apparent which I assumed would make the closing date unachievable. Streamline doubled down and got the job done on time. And, unbelievably, at the originally agreed price. I recommend Streamline Plumbing without any hesitation. It would be a far better world if all repair companies had the honesty, integrity and helpfulness that Streamline displayed on my project. Not mention that they were just plain friendly, nice people.

I only use Streamline for all my plumbing needs. They are quick to respond and their service is the best. Tyler was on time and completed the work in no time. Thank you Streamline!

I really want to like Streamline Plumbing. They are nice people and helpful on the phone and in person. But I've had a longstanding issue for years with a repair done by them and I unfortunately don't feel that they did totally right by me. I'm telling this story as I remember it, but I may have the number of visits wrong as this has been ongoing for years.

I had a leak in the gas pipe coming from my meter into my house. The gas pipe is black iron pipe going down about 18" and then in through the foundation wall. In 2021? 2022? when this began, Streamline came out, located the leak, and replaced the pipe with more direct buried black iron pipe (as I know now, not to code). When they had trouble lining up the interior pipe with the exterior one, the plumber used a short segment of pipe with a couple of crimps on it to get the angle right. I patched up the ceiling and my gas bill went down and I no longer smelled gas in my backyard.

However, about a year later, guests coming by my house noted that it smelled strongly of gas. I was noseblind to it as I lived and worked from home back then. Eventually, I called streamline and they came out and discovered the innovative crimping at an angle technique had resulted in the pipe leaking gas between my basement ceiling and my floor. They cut open the ceiling again and a flood of gas came out that even I could smell.

They replaced the double crimp with a single crimp and off they went. I didn't patch the ceiling because, well, I had a premonition.

Then I smelled gas in the backyard again. They replaced the black iron pipe again from the meter, they said it was the elbow had cracked and this time they sprayed a rubberized coating on the pipe. I sealed where the pipe went into the foundation and reburied the pipe.

Last few months my gas bill has been higher than normal and I smell gas in the backyard again. By this point I've bought my own natural gas detector since I dealt with this leak so much. Again, it shows it is the pipe from the meter into my house. This is about five feet of pipe that Streamline has been working on for something like 4 or 5 years. They told me they needed to sleeve the pipe and the only reason they hadn't done it before was "the homeowner was in a hurry" - this is simply not true. I want my gas line fixed correctly, not quick and dirty. The pipe hasn't "rusted through" in the last couple years, must have been a problem with the elbow again.

I have since discovered sleeving is NFPA code for gas lines entering below ground, which I agree is not typical, but my home isn't the only one with this configuration.. So they came out and charged me $1100 to do the work to code. I realize they've come out a lot and they have to make a profit, but I've had to pay for this repair twice, it's gone on for years, it was not done to code, and it was a fire hazard for over a year with the gas being vented inside my basement ceiling.

It's just five feet of black iron pipe with an elbow in the middle.

Once the wind calms and I have some time, I will use my gas sniffer to see if I can find any leaks. I hope it's finally fixed for good.

THIS NOTE FROM STREAMLINE IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE - I DID NOT DECLINE THE RECOMMENDED FIX IN SEPTEMBER 2024. Also having a sleeve would not have caused the elbow to not leak. This is nonsense on your part - I'm afraid your response is more "CYA". You also skipped over the part where the "double crimp" caused a gas leak inside my house, and a severe fire risk.

I also note that until the most recent time you came out, THE WORK WAS NOT DONE TO CODE. This is surprising to me.

The fact is, we've been working on fixing a leak in a five foot section of pipe for years. I am very disappointed.

Streamline plumbing were able to come out the same day. Work was completed quickly, and for a fair price. Will definitely use them again.
