DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.I called for an estimate and was given a fair price, so I agreed to hire them. They told me the job would be cheaper if I removed the wall myself, which I did the day before the scheduled work. The technician (Duane) was supposed to come and finish the job two days before Christmas, but no one showed up. When I called, they said they couldn’t reach the technician. I was left with an open bathroom wall right before Christmas. Very unprofessional.
Valley View Plumbing came out the same day I requested service, and repaired several ongoing leaks at our new property so efficiently and flawlessly. Brad and Austin are an excellent team and they work perfectly together. They made sure the job was done right, they tested out their work, and communicated to me effectively on what was wrong on each issue. The leaks are all repaired now and I have such peace of mind it was done with care, done for a fair price, and will last for the long run. Quality work by Valley View Plumbing! I will definitely work with them again if I have any plumbing needs. Thanks Brad and Austin!
Two techs from Valley View took all of 10 minutes looking at the problem and decided it was from a leak in the roof causing a pool of water in my carpeting and charged me $150. The roof repair tech from Gentry Construction showed me that it could not be a leak from the roof causing a pool in my front room. It is coming from beneath the carpeting. They did not charge me for the visit and fixed a tile on the roof that was out of place. God Bless them! The question is will Valley View make this right? Will let you know. The leak in fact was coming from outside the fireplace and leaking underneath the flooring causing the pool of water, not the roof. Yes it can be tricky, but there should be a trail from the roof to my carpet. They did return my money. Don't assume, investigate.
Technician was friendly and knowledgeable and his work was good, the clerk I spoke to in the office was courteous and promised to get my paid invoice to me by email. The poor rating is because the technician after seeing the work needed explain that they don’t do soldering anymore for safety reasons like possibly burning down the house. And that they used to new Tool depress the fittings on the pipe and he explained that it was a better system But the “couplings were really expensive” ,I became aware that, in order to use the tool to compress the fittings, he would have to cut one of the studs in the wall to accommodate the new tool, some think I think I should’ve been told ahead of time.Last, but not least, after moving the half inch copper waterline 4 to 6 inches to the left, so that the shut off valve would not interfere with the installation of the vanity. I now have two open copper lines, and any offers to sell me two new valves to accommodate the drop-down from five eights to 3/8 from the bathroom sink valve to the shut off valve for $25 each and when I hesitated he stated I could get the same valves for $16 at Ace Hardware. He asked me if I wanted these water leak tested and I said yes and at that point , I authorized him installing the new valves when the new valves shouldn’t have been the factor at all because he was going to have to check his work anyway whether I bought new valves from him or not and that’s the reason for the poor rating… The technician was there for one and a half hours . The hourly rate was quoted over the phone to be $150 an hour Or $120 an hour for seniors to which I qualify… Total bill was $305.The sheet rock was removed, there was no vanity in the way, and the line had to be moved approximately 4 to 6 inches
Scott is very knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. Scott lowered a shower drain that the tile contractor requested prior to having the waterproofing tar applied. Scott also installed a new shower valve and connected plumbing involved with a shower install. To finish up Scott installed a Toto toilet and Toto toilet seat bidet. Scott was on time and presented himself in a professional manner.
