Thought we had an issue with our heat pump and system on an extremely cold day on a Sunday. Since it was very late, they did not have a technician that could get to us right away, but Mindy was wonderful and let me know a way to run our system to make sure our house was heated (no one else I spoke with offered up this advice).I ended up having to call a different service to come take a look. They showed up and gave a quote to fix the issues for multiple thousands of dollars. I decided to hold off since Mindy had given us an option to heat the home and wait for a Legacy representative to come a take a look.Got on the schedule for Monday around noon. Around ten I received a call from Mindy letting me know the technician was on a job that would take a little longer than expected, but they will definitely be by to take a look today. Love the transparency and communication received here. Jake showed up as expected and was extremely professional and efficient. He took a look at the system and let me know what was really going on. Nothing was wrong with the system and it was working as intended, just looked a bit funny due to the extreme cold.Legacy saved me multiple thousands of dollars, didn't push a repair that wasn't necessary, and gave tips on running our system that no other company offered when I spoke with them. I will be calling Legacy for all needs that they cover moving forward. If it was possible I would give them a 10 star rating.
Great customer service. After we agreed to pricing they told me when they were going to be there and they were there at that time and date. This really counts when you have to take time to meet someone. Told me they were going to be able to install my new heating/ac units in one day. Not only did they do this but finished early. When they were done there was no clean up I had to do. It was like they were never there except for a new system that replaced a old system. Good price, great service. Would recommend anyone who is having any problems with their hvac to contact this company. Needed them again for a plumbing problem. Came through again in a timely manner with a great price. Great to work with . It is a pleasure to know who to call when things go wrong.

For the second year in a row we had a strong burning smell from our 12-year-old furnace—far beyond normal dust burn-off—and it had become intolerable, especially with kids who have asthma.A few weeks ago Jake came out, walked me through exactly what was happening, and quickly found the real issue: oversized furnace with a poorly designed return air box, causing restricted airflow and overheating. Shutting off high limit every time. I appreciated the clear explanation more than anything.He gave me a very fair same-day quote and waived the diagnostic fee and tune up by bundling it into the install. Today Jake and another crew member (also excellent) installed a new high-efficiency gas furnace, a properly built return air box, and a Honeywell 4” filter. Professional, efficient, and thorough.No more burnt up oversized furnace. The burning smell is gone and the system runs perfectly thus far. I’m glad I called them, and I’ll 100% use Legacy again. Highly recommend!
HVAC purchases can be scary, so we did tons of research before deciding on Legacy Mechanical in Noblesville for our new HVAC installation. I can’t say enough about how much we recommend this local, family-run business!!! Jake was upfront, fair with no pressure, and made us feel super comfortable with the pricing and ultimate purchase.Bill, who did the install, was very patient and explained and answered our questions in detail, so that we understood everything from top to bottom. Out of the four quotes we got, they had the best combination of price, quality and warranty.We were pleased to see that one of the owners, Adam, stopped by to check on the progress for our peace of mind. You don’t get that with the franchise companies!We also were able to have them take care of a few plumbing issues that we’d been putting off. GOOD PEOPLE! GOOD BUSINESS!...FREE Estimate!...They replaced my 27 year old heat pump unit....Fairest price quote for costs and labor!... No Pressure or up-selling!!..DON'T CALL THOSE NATIONAL TV AD FRANCHISES!...They artfully sculpted a nice neat elevated pad for the AC Unit and streamlined my furnace closet by removing obsolete wires and equipment....Super friendly and they take pride in their work!.....What I thought was going to be a financial tragedy became reasonable!......I'm sure I won't have any HVAC Issues in the near future but I'll certainly save their contacts for any plumbing issues.....
