They backed into my parked car on a red curb. When approached they acted like I was a bother. Asked for the driver over 3 times and then he tells me “oh he parked and it rolled back “ no sorry, no apologies. Rude team. Wouldn’t suggest for anything.
It was a no brainer for me to call this company for my toilet repair and to reconnect the stopper to the sink.Toilet repair was great. The company representative even recommended the product to dissolve the calcification inside the toilet. Great. The stopper, after being disconnected for some months, was once again connected below the sink and it worked. Yay.A month after the visit, the stopper became disconnected again.I contacted the company, and was told that I would have to pay again for a person to come out to fix the stopper.I took this to mean they do not stand behind their work. No one more surprised than me.Now I have to find another vendor to replace the electrical heaters throughout my condo.Very, very surprised at this result, from what I had considered a trusted name in the plumbing business. You might ask for written guarantees when engaging them.Unhappy in Oakland. And so very disappointed.
Too bad I can't give six stars...they are that good. On Mon AM the Harry Clark dispatcher called me in response to my Saturday plea for help via their website. It was a weekend then; so they were closed. But they contacted me first thing that Mon.At 1215 that same Monday, a Harry Clark rep knocked on my door and went off to find out why my hot water heater was no longer heating my water. Took him, maybe, five minutes to find that the computer that controls the heater was malfunctioning ...sending all sorts of error data. The heater needed replacing. I opted to replace it with the same type I already had, but upgraded. I also opted to replace the 24/7 recycle pump with one that would be on only from 7AM to 9PM. That reduced the amount of gas burned during the low usage hours.About two hours later, four Harry Clark trucks and a team of plumbers were removing the old heater and installing the new one and its recycle pump. In about four hours the new hot water heater and pump were up and running. In sum, from when I got the first call that AM until the Harry Clark crew packed up and left me with a heater replacement was about eight hours. In addition to being extraordinarily fast and efficient, they were always communicating with me. Kevin, the job foreman, constantly kept me apprised of what they were doing and what came next. These guys are good...highly recommend them.NOTE: they don't do weekends; so they're not good for emergency repairs over the weekends.
Harry Clark did a major install in my 1928 house in Oakland, which had no existing central heating and so required not only a new electric heat pump unit on the roof and an air handler and humidifier in the basement but new ducting to and registers in nearly every room. Their work was excellent and the price reasonable and they were resourceful in overcoming hurdles presented by the building and responsive to any troubleshooting needed during and afterward. I highly recommend them.
Don Marshall came to evaluate a necessary repair for our furnace within a few days of my call to the Harry Clark office. He recommended replacing some of our old furnace duct instead of simply taping the duct joints as another company had recommended. His price was similar to the less extensive bid & included new installation. We accepted his bid & the work was scheduled shortly afterward. Two guys finished the replacement in a day & left the area very clean. We noticed better heating immediately. We were very impressed with all of our interactions with this company & will use them for all of our future heating & cooling upgrades. A excellent experience!
