Very positive experience. Quick response. Kind and attentive technician, Michael. Very gentle and professional in his explanations. Also very patient as I had to be on several calls working from home while he was attempting to perform the valve replacement and communicate with me. Sincerely valued this kind behaviour. Michael also ID’d a separate small ball valve leak and will come back to perform the valve replacement. He left a small basin to protect from any leaks. Really good.

Highly recommended using John the Plumber, the service was exceptional. I had issues with the main shut off value and the serviceman assisted me with dealing with the city and waited until everything was scheduled with the city and rescheduled their visit to coordinate with the city shut off. The work was done quickly and beautifully. 100% I’ll be recommending John the Plumber to family and friends.

Late on Monday afternoon, I managed to make an appointment for 8am Tuesday morning to have a leaking shutoff valve fixed. Jonathan arrived promptly just after 8, quickly resolved the leak and then stayed for the remainder of the appointment window changing other aging faucet cartridges and shutoff valves as a preventative measure. I was very pleased with Jonathan’s pleasant, personable approach as well as the diligent, efficient work done. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer whenever I need a plumber.

Not at all happy with my interaction with the company. The actual work done appears to be a quality job, but the price and the approach will keep me away from using them ever again. I would hope to help someone like me not make the mistake of using them in the first place. As you can see from their website, this is an internet skin front and back end for plumbing services in scores of locations across Ontario. You book a visit online, and someone (in my case, clearly an independent contractor that is in the group of plumbers they send out) comes to your house. I needed at toilet reseated and the wax ring replaced, and was quoted $599 for this job (takes less than an hour--my regular and quite expensive plumber charges $299 for this job). Asked about getting the fill valve replaced at the same time an was quoted $399 to do this (it is a less than $50 part, and less than ten minutes of labour). I declined the fill valve extortion price, but asked them to continue with the toilet reseating, as I just wanted to get the job done. Ten minutes later, the plumber says he can do the fill valve for $50 more, and I agreed to this work. Guys also put in a new supply line (I had replaced mine a month ago) without asking me. No big deal. After I paid the invoice online, I got a email asking to comment on the service, and I explained why I was not satisfied using the facts above. I got a polite response from Wes in customer service acknowledging my concerns , but with no real comments on the extremely high prices I was quoted. Use these guys if you really need someone, but understand, at least from my experience, that their pricing is absurdly high compared to other very reputable options.
