I've used Canpro a number of times for projects and issues both small and big. Always incredibly knowledgeable, kind, tidy and early. Although its never nice to have to deal with a plumbing issue, they have always gotten it sorted out for me. 10/10 would recommend in Oro-Medonte area
Canpro was recommended through my neighbourhood Facebook page. The plumber came out quickly to assess a light leak from an exposed pipe in our unfinished basement ceiling. He was there about 30 minutes but had to reschedule for the next morning due to not having access to the upstairs apartment. To his credit, he did locate the leak using a thermal camera. It turned out to be a wastewater pipe punctured by a screw from a bedroom closet clothing rack. Before proceeding, he called to explain where the issue was, what he planned to do, and the cost. The price immediately alarmed me. I told him I wanted to call my boyfriend (who is a handyman) for a second opinion before approving the repair. His reaction was surprisingly harsh. He said it would be “a huge slap in my face” not to go ahead with the repair after all the work he did to find the leak. I felt pressured and flustered, and despite my hesitation, I agreed. In my opinion, that was unprofessional. It’s common practice to simply charge a diagnostic fee if a customer declines further service, but that option was never clearly offered. Instead, I felt pushed into saying yes.The repair itself involved cutting out approximately 6 inches of PVC pipe and replacing it with two couplings — minimal material cost. The drywall was left cut open for us to patch. The entire visit took less than an hour. The charge? $905. He then offered a $100 “club membership” for 15% off and waived the diagnostic fee, bringing it to $868 plus tax — $981 total. That works out to roughly $500+ per hour for a very straightforward repair. Premium prices are one thing — but premium service should include professionalism, no pressure tactics, and ideally some preventative guidance (for example, suggesting moving the pipe to prevent it from happening again).Quick response time, yes.?But heavy pressure tactics, very high pricing, incomplete finishing work — and then asking for a Google review while I was clearly unhappy. In my view, the value of a happy customer and a strong reputation should outweigh “standing by” extreme pricing. Unfortunately, I will not use their premium services in the future.
What a wonderful team! Right from the person we spoke with on the phone to Kevin the tech...the whole team was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help our shelter and in turn, our feline residents. It was such a positive experience! They were very quick to arrive, assess the problem and had a solution within minutes. Thank you so much for all your help. We truly appreciate all you did!
Exceptional service from Canpro Plumbing! Logan and Nathan were professional, knowledgeable, and extremely thorough. They quickly diagnosed the cause of our clogged and frozen drain and took the time to explain exactly what was going on.They also pointed out some incorrect plumbing practices that had been done previously and re-piped our kitchen drain properly to prevent future issues. Their workmanship was clean, efficient, and done right the first time.Highly recommend Canpro Plumbing if you’re looking for honest, skilled plumbers who take pride in their work.
Very clear communication and honest assessment of our clogged drain. Logan was able to resolve the issue on the spot and give recommendations for future prevention work required. Kept everything neat and tidy while working and left the space cleaner than when he came. Seemed a bit higher priced than typical but well worth it to have good quality work, exceptional service and quick response time
