After receiving that conclusion, we contacted the plumber again. He suggested modifying the valve system to make future leak detection easier for the referred detection company and estimated the modification cost at $1,205.The following day, another professional inspected the meter area, removed soil, and immediately located and repaired an active service line leak without requiring the suggested modification.Given the sequence of events, including the referral, the detection outcome, and the subsequent repair the next day, we found the situation difficult to reconcile.We are sharing this timeline as factual information so others can understand our experience and evaluate their options carefully.
