Sebastian and John were both very professional and also responsive to my concerns and wishes. They accommodated me whenever possible. I trust their workmanship. And they are just good people. They do great work and they looked out for my cats!I always use First Rate Plumbing for my plumbing and heating/ cooling needs. Shirley, who works in the office, is the sweetest and most helpful person and works hard to schedule the services I need.And, last but not least, Ron, the owner, is terrific. First Rate is an appropriate name for this company and the employees who work for it.
Update: Just wanted to post an update on my experience with First Rate. After I posted my review, the manager reached out to me directly to try to provide more insight into their pricing and why they do things the way they do. Because I was dissatisfied, he even provided a refund of the money that I paid to have the problem diagnosed. I appreciated the manager reaching out, additional explanation and the refund. All that mattered a great deal to me, so I'm updating my rating from 2 stars (initial rating) to 3.Original Review:I contacted First Rate Plumbing to get a quote to repair a kitchen sink leak. When they arrived, they determined that the issue was my faucet and they said I would need to replace it. When they provided the quote, they simply gave me the total price, which was $794. They did not provide an itemized list or any breakdown of the cost whatsoever, so I requested one. I was told that their policy is that they don't provide an itemized quote. The worker then contacted his manager for me to speak with by phone, and he too told me that it was a flat fee and that they didn't provide a breakdown of the cost. I explained that I have been having home repair projects done for years and that I had never had a contractor not tell me how much of the total was for parts and materials vs. labor. His response was the same, that they use a flat fee. I thought the price sounded extremely high, which is why I pressed for an itemized quote, so when they refused to provide it I paid the $83 fee for the diagnosis and told them I would have the work done elsewhere. When they left, I went to Lowe's website, selected a faucet and added installation. The total was $358 out the door. This was my first (and last) experience with this company. The workers who diagnosed the problem were punctual, knowledgeable and all around professional and friendly, but I would never trust a company that doesn't provide transparency into their pricing and based on the quote I got from Lowe's, I was right not to.
Patrick installed a new water heater for us. He was punctual and professional and did a great job! The company was great at communicating and they were understanding of our issue and fit us in quickly to accommodate us. I appreciated their honesty and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this plumbing company.
I called first thing in the AM and scheduled an appointment for same day service. Enrique showed up in 1 hour. He was professional, patient, experienced, knowledgeable, and all around AMAZING. He answered every question and provided valuable insight into why my drains were clogged. I can’t thank First Rate Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling and Enrique enough for their quick response and their dedication to customer service. You are all so awesome. Thank you, Enrique!!!!! The main drain line to street clogged. Nothing draining in house. Enrique & Valentino were able to "snake" it out. Then made sure everything was draining properly. They were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and offered advice for a camera inspection as this continues to happen. The company also sends text of what tech is coming with picture & some info on tech. Great experience! Highly recommend company. The price was reasonable .
