Please read this! Great information.Overall pre-experience:I have called many plumbers as I am new to the area as far as utilizing contractors. I came from a town where I knew everyone, but once I moved to Sacramento, I knew not a soul as far as contractors are concerned. The plumbers that I have called while in Sacramento either never called me back or answered, but with interaction they just said "hmmm, not sure" "We can send someone out" type of answers, but still never heard back. Very very frustrating to say the least.NOW my main review of the great company:When I called the main office and nice young lady answered(Kathryn)and was very very helpful. She took care of me hand and foot and asked me to send pictures of the area where I needed help and they would supply me with at least a quote. Once Armoured received the picture I was presented with a clear quote. Once I said "Let's get it done", they jumped on it and the next day, boom, a nice gentleman named Philip was on-site. Yes, a young gentleman but very skilled and quick! The issue with my plumbing:I had a problem with my main shut off valve. When totally turning it off, it still let water through. I was seriously debating if I should call a plumber. I reached out via internet to Reddit and for Citrus Heights they said "Armoured Plumbing!". This was my last ditch effort to find a good plumber and I am glad I did.Experience:The young man Phlip was quick, skilled. He was on-site and ready to work. He quickly gathered all tools and was ready to tackle the fix. I never saw him walking around, lazy foot type of behaviour, like some other contractors I have seen.Pricing:I have had several folks price this out by phone after receiving pictures, but some prices were overkill as one quote was up in the 4k amount, which was entirely too cost absorbatant. Hence why I am glad to finally find a plumber now that I can trust. Final cost was very reasonable to me.Overall review:Owner: Barry, very responsive and detailed. He first called me and was very knowledgeable and explained everything.Front office staff: Great to work with and very very informative, patient, kind and just overall a good experience.Technician: Philip: Great young man, super informative and talked to me while on site explaining things that I would question with no hesitation and was very confident in his abilities. In reading other reviews: I found some folks(low percentage) unhappy, but in reading some of these posts, they seemed uninformed, not the property owner and just overall complaining about things that they did not communicate to Armoured.Remember all, communication is the key here! Armoured does communicate as I experienced this first hand.Just a note: This is a valid review. I have no affiliation and have never contacted this company before.Feel confident utilizing Armoured. They were great to me and they will be great to you.Thank you Philip, Barry and Kathryn for their amazing support. Great folks to work with!**Please press the like thumbs up if you experienced the same!I hope you appreciated this review!
5 star service!!! Great communication from start to finish. Alan was awesome!!! This was the best plumber service experience I’ve ever had. Gave me a ton of pointers and went above and beyond. Showed up less than an hour after I called and was in and out in 30 min with problem solved. This is a local plumber who will have all my future business. Thank you
The whole process was awesome! Michael arrived on time with a smile on his face and eager to help! He quickly assess the situation and told me the outcome which relieves so much stress as we thought we were going to have to get a hold of the city to help with this project. He quickly fixed the situation and the price was a Shell Shock as it was much lower than what we expected! I will definitely use your service again!
Landlord hired them to work on rental. Dug before calling proper utilities. Way more to complain about but if that first part doesn't make you think twice then nothing else I have to say will.Edit after owner repsonse...Just because you can do something doesnt mean you should? I noticed worked stopped for days when a yellow wire was hit. Probably would have been best to call before digging yeah? And those original three pits you dug didnt work and you had to dig a full on trench to properly slope the main drain. Now we have a clean out that sits too high and the cover won't close. and a nice sinkhole has formed where you guys didnt backfill good enough. Like I said I had more to complain about but I didnt want to throw it all out. On top of that they left Oatey Primer/glue next to freshly broken fence pickets.Just because the company is 40 years old just means you purchased or were handed down the name. The quality of work or lack of communication speaks to the current state and my experience. Posted pictures for clarity.
For nearly two decades, we’ve relied on Barry and his team at Armoured Plumbing to handle plumbing relocations on our window, siding, and roofing projects. They’re consistently efficient, communicative, and deliver top-quality work. One project that stands out was a commercial job involving several heat pump water heaters for a large apartment building. After installation, we faced unexpected challenges and called on Barry’s expertise to troubleshoot. His solutions exceeded our expectations. What impresses me most is Barry’s reliability and incredible response time — he answers his phone anytime, day or night, weekends or holidays, ensuring that if an emergency arises, he’s on top of it immediately. We wouldn’t trust anyone else with such critical work.
